Hi there, music aficionados of the board...my daughter absolutely LOVES this song, and wants to find more in the same genre, but she doesn't know what it would fall under. She loves it because (in her definition) it's just...chill. She says it's not Indie because Indie can be too upbeat. Her friend told her it was Alternative Folk. Anyone here have any suggestions? Just throwing it out there more for fun to see what kind of answers I get:

I'm not sure Linderbee, but if the song "Something Good" is put into Pandora it will play similar songs. Maybe you can track it down from there. Good luck.

Same with iheartradio. You can put in an artist or even a specific song and it will recommend similar artists or songs.

Good information to know. I'm wondering if anyone has used Spotify. The artist I follow keeps wanting me to use this.

I'm really confused now. I thought The Black Keys were rock. One of my favorite songs is "Lonely Boy."

Thank you, everyone, for your input. I told her about your suggestions, @Cheesewater; I think she'll like them.

She subscribes to Spotify, so I'm sure she's already put it in to build her station around. I think she's more curious as to what category it falls under...but I don't think ANY category is going to be specific enough for her. Her tastes are too narrow.

For years I have used this site http://www.allmusic.com/ when looking for new/different music. Put in the artist name and you get bio, discography, genres, and, my favorite, related artists. I can spend hours reading through this site and just checking out some of the tunes to see if i stumble on something I like. Some of the related artists they provided for Alt-J are:

Wild Beasts
Bombay Bicycle Club
Coldplay
Breton
Elderbrook
Roza Parks
Fear of Men
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
George Ezra
Royal Canoe
The Receiver
