I now this is not a football topic but you Cards guys are the people I know.

I just got done listening to the History channel on a SAS mission in Iraq in the giulf war.

Unlike just about every other show I've seen, this was first hand accounts of their treament by Iraqi military.

I'm slowly calming down down but I have to say my attitude has changed a little. Where the Iraqi military/gov is concerned I'm now in the bomb the fu*kers camp.

I watched that too. Man, what a story. Those guys were heros, man.

Freaking Syrians almost executed that guy. It is great that we have such good friends in England. Couldn't have a better ally, this is coming from an Irish-American who's family is Catholic.

Bombing will start 12:01 am Tuesday morning, I predict. I wish the best for all the troops out there from both Countries as well the other Allies that will participate, from the friends I have that are there or going there soon, and the posters on this board that are going.

Kick some ass guys and stay safe!

The only problem is: We will end up bombing innocent people, and Saddam is such an s.o.b. that he won't try to protect them.

Protect them? ****, he will purposely put them in harms way. He needs to be removed and we need to take over that country and put in a puppet. I am not so callious that I wish harm to innocent Iraqis, but I am more worried about our boys over there.

I'm worried about them too.

I have such mixed feelings about this war. I am neither a supporter nor a protester. I'm sadly kind of apathetic (it makes me feel sick to say that).

I think Saddam needs to be ousted, but don't know if we should be the ones to do. America and the European powers have screwed with the Middle East for a long time, and I think that the best idea might be to leave it alone. Heck most countries in the middle east were formed by European powers, and have been manipulated and controled for a longtime.

America attacking Iraq doesn't change this perception that Arabs have of us and the European powers. It's kind of, at least imo, a catch 22. We all know that Saddam has got to go, but us doing it really isn't the best solution (but may be the only solution).

I carefuly qualified my comment, Military and Gov.

I am a little more motivated today, I like most educated people have serious misgivings over this, but dang, that type of behaviour must be resisted.

My feelings right now have little to do with waht happened 80 years ago, when Britain partitioned the middle east ofter WW1. I know this, I understand this but right now I would be happy if the "dentist" mentioned was looking down Pat Tillman's barrel. I also hope that it would be a short view (as in, hi sorry I had to shoot you), sorry I don't normally talk this way but I'm pretty upset right now.

Let's hope Pat is safe.

We had him in a scope site back in 90 but was told to stand down. He is building a treanch around his city and will fill it with oil
so My brothers in the air cannot see. He is also putting women and children in he palaces so we wont bomb him. What a ASS.

I know alot more but I cannot say or cannot give out any more info. (I wish i could).

I watched the program and had read about their mission some time ago. What is most important about this, is that lessons learned have helped tremendously in future operations. No longer are men dropped off behind enemy lines without transportation back. Now they drive around in vehicles so that they can get out of an area in a hurry.

As far as the war goes, if you look at how happy the people were in Afghanistan that they were liberated, women can now work and go to school, people have returned to the country by the millions. And it caused the lives of some innocent people to do it. Unfortunately, you can't have peace unless you have a war. And that's where we stand today. The only countries that are really against us doing this are those who either have some serious business ties with Iraq or are dictators themselves and fear their form of government may topple also.

I see that Pat Tillman and his brother are over there somewhere. I pray that our military leaders have their act together and do not unnecessarily place the men and women of the coalition of the willing in harm's way.

I may be a liberal, but I believe since we profit immensely off the rest of the world, it is our duty to protect and free all those who are not free. I also believe in increasing social and economic equality for everyone within our borders as well as the rest of the world. Iraqis are poor and live under one of the worst tyrants of our time, and I would love to see them free.

God Bless America, and I pray for the safety of our guys and girls in Iraq. I also pray that we can capture Saddam and try him for the heinous crimes that he has committed against his own countrymen (especially the Kurds) and the people of Iran.
