I agree with you about changing it for marketing bit I dont really like either choice. They are basically the same to me. I wouldnt wear either on a shirt.
The one on the right. But:
1 - I'd take the ASFN graphic from the left and use it for the one on the right.
2 - Both logos are a little cluttered though, to be honest.
Exactly. Trying to translate that to shirts, business cards, whatever will be a challenge IMO.
The logos scream clip art or something to me.
Why are we changing? Keep the old banner and add pics of some Suns, D-Backs and Coyotes players.
Shaggy - Is there a reason you're using the flag as opposed to creating a unique symbol for the logo? Disney has the Castle. Nike has the swoosh. "Arizona" is in the name. I'm no expert on these things but I'd use something besides the flag if I wanted something that would grab attention, make a statement and be remembered.

Lets do a shirt where all it is is the back of some old ass truck, and on the tailgate FORD is crossed out and ASFN is spray painted underneath. Now that could be a cool tailgating shirt we could all recognize eachother in.
