David Stern has determined that the new ball is just fine. He even tried bouncing it, and he did not notice any problems, unlike Shaq and Steve Nash. He thinks people are just not realizing the "upside of the ball", they're just talking about the downside. (Its on ESPN.com)
I am so glad that a basketball idiot, aka, David Stern has tested the ball himself, proclaiming it to be just fine, while stars comment on the undesirable nature of the changing tacticity. I'm sure Stern tested it with some catch and shoot drills, and some dribble penetration moves with one handed passes while sweating profusely. I wonder if the commissioner of any other sport decides to modify the ball and then test it himself. Is any skill at all required to "test the ball". Spaulding has wanted to change to a composite ball for awhile, apparently(more profit/ball I bet).
