I know that it has been suggested for a number of players, but I want to push for Justin Bethel. True he's not a great CB, yet, but, imo, he's made great strides this season. And he is a great/Pro Bowl ST player. He deserves a new contract.

Agreed he is huge on special teams and is showing flashes on D.

He made a good defensive play on Green to force the Bengals to kick a tying FG and gave the Cardinals all of the minute they needed to win the game. On a side note I was impressed with how the Cardinals were going to wind down the clock at the end by taking a knee and then spiking the ball with just enough time to lick the FG.

Cb is going to have to be addressed this offseason. I agree Bethel should be signable as he has special teams value and can come in and play when needed. Powers is a good player, but not a great one. I think he is comparable to Cromartie. Cro gives more size and ability, but Powers is way more consistent and willing to tackle. Jefferson isn't a CB, but his lack of size in a secondary that lacks size is tough to invest more money in to.

I'm not sure what the best approach will be. I imagine they will add a mix of vets and the draft. Not sure who they may be looking at.

Bethel is one of my favorites. I say he's looking for #2 CB money. His agent is going to say that he has that potential, and some team is going to be willing to buy into that. What are you willing to pay him? Let's say he's looking for 4 years, $22M. That might actually be low. We're good. Our guys are going to make their money. Period. You willing to do that?

Four years 10 million sounds right. He just hasn't done enough yet to get big money.

Bethel is a core player---they will do all they can to keep him in AZ.

Imagine if we could find a way to get Stepon Gilmore from the Bills?? After his performance last night (and all year), this kid is gonna get paid big $$. He is a free agent after this year and one would assume Buffalo is going to pay what they need to to keep him, but would be sweet to have PP and Gilmore on opposite sides!

But yes, I sure hope the Cards can work out a good deal to keep Bethel
