They should’ve removed all the black from the baseline though. Black and purple don’t go well together on the floor.

I think it will look good with the theater lighting, especially in the arena, the floor will pop more in contrast.

The arena is also black now, so its a goo contrast to the seating

The lighting is a gigantic improvement and I know it was intentional, they tried to recreate the lighting in Madison Square Garden... I've never been to the Garden but I can see why it was their template.

It is a simple change but the feel inside the building is dramatic. Other than the sections right around you and the first few rows courtside, it's hard to see anything. Which is great, it keeps you focused on the game.

When I went to games just prior to the remodel the lighting in the upper deck was just as bright as the lights on the court. It was such an obviously awful design that it astounds me how prolific it is, many arenas are still similarly lit, yet such an inexpensive and minor change will effect the dynamic so much. Bright lighting throughout your "entertainment" venue... it better because the Sun is out, otherwise, make sure the focus is on the entertainment.

I thought I was the only one that felt Meh. It's not bad or anything but nothing spectacular in terms of design.

The Orange ball with the purple keys looks awesome but now the black is turning me off.

I think it will look good with the arena lighting.

Also, I am glad that the wood grain inside the arch now matches the grain outside. That always bugs me.

Outline should be purple and the top of the key circle should be all orange… it’s like they know the 1993 floor/jerseys were the best, but are too stubborn to admit it so they have to do their own version of it.

I don't think anyone uses white to border their court and I suspect it is because it would look filthy in no time.

When I first got season tickets I got to go down on the "Valley" court, it was pretty surprising to see how beat up the court was, and it had only been really used by the players at that point, the fans were barely being let back in the building. The only team I can think of that uses a lot of white is the Brooklyn Nets and they have, by far, the ugliest court in the league. The contrast makes the players look dead for some reason.

Also, as I have said, I think the darkness of the arena and the border of the court will make the court pop, especially in person.

I do think orange added into the gradient effect would have gone a long way though, a Sun peaking from the horizon thing going on.

I'm also just now noticing from that photo that the white jerseys use 2 shades of orange in the streak and the purple only uses one... poor choice, especially that they went with the flatter color.

The whites look way better.

Not the full court but you can see the differences. Orange key and purple sidelines and baselines.

The staining of the wood is also uniform now.

I've never liked the 2 tone wood coloration, I don't know why it bugs me so much but it does. New court is a huge improvement in that respect.

I believe it's been a loooooong time since we had a uniform court, over 20 years.

I like when the interior is different than outside of the 3pt arc but it needs to be more distinct. It was too close in shade before so it didn't look good, IMO. If you're going to do it, do it well. I like the new design.

I’m not sure what statement is being made. Prefer the new core court.
