you know they had an unsual amount of DUI arrests the night of the stadium's first use with a country concert and one of the guys with the Cowboy organization which was reported to have been involved with building of the stadium got in a wreck and was also booked for DUI...sounds about right for the opening of the Dallas Conboy's new stadium :)

...but they do have a very nice new stadium for sure
george strait tends to attract drunks. I saw him in vegas, dallas multiple locations, houston, and cincinnati. there were more drunks in vegas at the compact MGM than in comparison to a sold out reliant stadium rodeo...lol.

Not bad. I guess if you are Jerry Jones you can buy a stadium, but not a playoff win.
he bought a SB in 95. but yeah he couldn't buy a playoff win last year. hopefully addition by subtraction works out for them this year. at least they get rid of the contreversial players. the stadium is better than I thought it could be. and you have to respect a owner that fronts the bill like that. I understand why the tix prices are there. If demand falls so will the prices. the cowboys have never had problems selling out games...even when they were winning 5 games a year....which hasn't been too often.

I would have said the same thing about a cards fan prior to last year.

but in all seriousness....my man has 50+ number one hits. so there are a lot of psychos out there apparantly.

I hate the cowboys as much as anyone, but this stadium is going to be bad-ass. They have some features in it that are very unique:

Mobile ticketing and concession purchasing
Personalized content on video boards
wireless tags for children and security
Electronic coupons and personal advertising
HD game video that can be edited and packaged for team analysis immediatly.

Now if the Cowboys can just go winless this season, that would be great!

The only professional sports teams I have had a dislike for were Red Auerbaks Boston Celtics. Every time he lighted that cigar every muscle in my body woult tighten up. They were just to good. I have no like for the Yankees because of all the money they have to spend. In the NFL I have no hate for any team. All that hate is transferred into love for the Cardinals. I want to beat all teams and I do not care who they are. As to the stadium it sure looked like the class of the NFL. It may not turn out that way but it will get anyones attention. The Cards new stadium sort of went along with them becoming a real NFL team. We looked like a high school team playing sun devil stadium that appeared to be half empty most of the time.

This stadium is more overdone than T.O.'s ego. That MASSIVE video screen (60 yards long!) hanging over the center of the field will be a HUGE distraction. Sure, nice for replays, but you know dang well that it will be showing craptastic stuff 100% of the time, and it will get tiresome in about the first 2 minutes. Also, seats are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive there, and there is also a PSL (personal seat license charge) on top of that, for the "privilege" of buying season tickets.

No thanks. I'll sit in my affordable $70 seats, park in the free "blue" lot, and have a better gameday experience (including the important part - the results on the field!) than the poor Cowpie fan.

actually no I wouldn't say I enjoyed it. When you consider billy davis, washed up troy aikman, emmitt smith, and others were leading the charge for dallas....that was probably as good as the cowboys were going to be at that point. they would have been trashed by the vikings again even had they pulled it out against the cards. that team was not a playoff caliber team and needed to be rebuilt a lot sooner than it did. too bad it took jerry jones way too long to figure it out.

oh and yes that was probably the cards biggest victory in the modern era prior to last season. so after countless losing at the hands of dallas I was ok with one letdown against the cards. honestly the loss last season stung a lot more. maybe it's because I lived in the valley. no disrespect intended by the way to anyone. just responding.

I like the results on the field for dallas. even of late. always excitement in dallas being a fan of the cowboys. what other franchise can get that much play after not winning a playoff game over a decade? that's how crazy this franchise is.....it sucks yeah...but it is still great being a fan.

I think the fans in dallas(including my father in law who isn't even a cowboys fan but is a season tix holder) are jacked for the upcoming season. they love it.

I went to the opening concert there.. It is the finest multi-purpose facility in the world.

If you strictly want to watch football, or tailgate for that matter... then our home in Glendale is much nicer. Plus we have real grass !

82,000+ came to the first football game there. 100K will be there for the SB and possibly a WC final if the WC comes back to the states. I'd imagine it would come down to arlington or the new NYG/NYJ stadium.
