You’ve heard about ball security. But have you heard of “trophy security?” It’s one of many skills for New England Patriots draft pick TreVeyon Henderson.

He used it in order to personally help out Vice President JD Vance.

The Patriots’ second-round pick Friday, Henderson made headlines earlier this month with his steady hands during Ohio State’s visit to the White House to celebrate their national championship.

In a clip that’s since gone viral, the vice president attempted to pick up the Buckeyes’ national championship trophy. However, Vance fumbled the trophy as the top separated from the base.

It’s a good thing Henderson was nearby. He held on to the gilded top while Vance fumbled with the bottom piece. Ultimately, no damage was done.

You can watch video of the incident here:

Henderson is known for his ball security. The former Ohio State star went his entire Ohio State career without losing a fumble.

Henderson is also known as a prolific pass catcher and steady pass blocker. He figures to be a big pay threat out of the backfield in New England’s new-look offense.
