At Cardinals games, I enjoy taunting the enemy fans for paying 8x face value for the tickets in my section.
Ticket brokers inhabit the world of pawnshops, car thieving tow truck operators, bounty hunters, mercenaries, and bail bondsmen.

I enjoy taunting enemy fans for paying 8x face value. That doesn't mean that it should stop, or that the Patriots should be able to do what they are trying to do.

I don't want to stop them either - I was just commenting on the legal status of them and the other businesses and their sleazy ethics.
Many unethical things are legal.

If its ok to resell tickets why isn't it ok to show or rebroadcast the game for profit? Especially when you get the game via NFL Sunday Ticket and so have paid for it.

If scalping is illegal in that area of the country, then the Pats have the right to go after those people that charge more than face value.

Scalping is legal here in Arizona. So people can charge 8X face value if they want. IMO scalping sucks for the fans. Makes it really hard to get affordable tickets to good events.

i think many of the things about event ticketing sucks

making scalping illegal doesn't take away the problem though

I don't really care for scalpers, but I really think some are missing the boat. Damn near every business in the world works off the same premise... buy low and sell high. No difference IMO.

The brokers/ticket holders will get around it like they do in states where it is illegal to scalp. There's a loophole. Just sell a season schedule,or something of little value, for X amount of dollars and "throw in" a pair of tickets.Or vice versa, buy the tix at face and a schedule for whatever the final bid was. That happened a couple years ago when i bought a buddy of mine 2 Kentucky Wildcat basketball tickets on ebay for a wedding gift.I received the tickets and a little cardboard schedule in the mail.

i hate the thought of scalpers and lose losing our home field advantage.

but.........

what about scalpers who sell to home fans that dont have tickets. We i came over a few years back it wasnt a problem at SDS but when i visit again (nect year i hope) i will rely on scalpers for tickets. catch 22

I would think that there are enough people on ASFN with extra tickets that you'd never have to rely on scalpers to get to see a game at the Frat House.
