haha... right? That's one of my favorite "only in Hollywood" stories...

Larry's tv dad died a few weeks ago.

I'll always remember him from this episode - smoking marijuana with a hooker. So funny!

I think the best of those episodes is the episode where Henry Blake dies in a helicopter crash on MASH. They had already wrote him out of the show by having him going back to the states, but it was quite a shock when they went further and killed him off.

That was a good one too.

Absolutely. Loved the spoof by Family Guy, too :)

I don't know the episode name, but the christmas one where Larry eats the nativity cookies, fights jesus and coughs up a pubic hair was classic.
I particularly liked the Crazy Eyez Killah episode with Larry making up rap lyrics and the jacket he wears for the Scorsese movie he's cast in.

My favorite is Ozymandias

Second would be the Death of Chuckles the Clown on the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

I don't watch the show anymore but Grey's Anatomy has had some shocking episodes. The episode where there was a shooter in the hospital that took out some of the cast was shocking. So was the plane crash that did something similar. Both episodes were memorable.

Then there is killing Buffy's mom in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

To me some of the best episodes are the ones with deaths that had a lasting memory.

First thing I thought of is The Body (BtVS, where Joyce dies).

M*A*S*H probably houses all my absolute favorites, though.

This is almost an impossible task.

I do know that one of my favorite all time espisodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm
is the one where Larry picked up a prostitute so he could use the carpool lane to make it to the Dodger game on time.

For drama, it is The West Wing's Two Cathedrals episode.

Gotta go with season 3 episode 1 of Sopranos. Not necessary the best episode, but probably my favorite because it was the first one I saw. Stumbled upon it by accident one night and was completely blown away. The entire episode I kept thinking, what is this show?!? and who are these characters?! It was the episode when the FBI was bugging their house.

I immediately rushed to Blockbuster to rent season 1 on VHS :D

This thread really has me thinking. So many choices to choose from. I generally enjoy comedies but dramas feel like they are more appropriate here? Hmmm, I need to think.
