This aint really a Madden thread, although Im waiting to get the new Madden.. But this video gets me even more jacked up for the season..
You are 100% wrong in this area. Ian Cummings is the lead guy on Madden this year and as soon as the game went into Gold last year (after it was completed but before it shipped) he was on message boards (OperationSports.com) asking us fans what we wanted to be done with future Madden games and he has added most of the things that he saw getting complaints from. Madden has had the feeling for the past year that the ship was being set straight on a great franchise. Go to that website I just listed and check out the Madden Forum. You will see what I'm talking about.I have decided that I will go and buy Madden 2006 for my PS2, and that will be that.
I think the game has been in complete free fall since this version, each year worse than the next.
Sure, the graphic look great, but graphics don't make a game....the fun of the game does.
I think Madden is the victim of ridiculous expectations by EA to produce a new game each year. If Madden were to take a step back and look at the big picture, tighten up their code, and concentrate on making an "Ultimate Madden" game with all the best parts of each version then they might be able to right the ship.
But EA is stuck in the General Motors downward spiral where they are telling the customer what they want, instead of listening to what the customer wants.
