New Madden Preview

Bleh, screw Madden.

Stupid EA gets rid of their game on the best gaming platform known to mankind.. The PC!

The above video looks like claymation.. I half expected to see Mr Bill running accross the field with the rock.. OHH NOOOOOO!

Maybe by 2025 they will get back to their early glory.. eh, probably not if they still own exclusive rights.


Was cool that it featured the Cards though.. not knocking you for that.

I have decided that I will go and buy Madden 2006 for my PS2, and that will be that.

I think the game has been in complete free fall since this version, each year worse than the next.

Sure, the graphic look great, but graphics don't make a game....the fun of the game does.

I think Madden is the victim of ridiculous expectations by EA to produce a new game each year. If Madden were to take a step back and look at the big picture, tighten up their code, and concentrate on making an "Ultimate Madden" game with all the best parts of each version then they might be able to right the ship.

But EA is stuck in the General Motors downward spiral where they are telling the customer what they want, instead of listening to what the customer wants.

My son has Madden 09 on his DS so I will probably buy Madden 10 for him as well; I don't get youtube so does anyone know the differences?

You are 100% wrong in this area. Ian Cummings is the lead guy on Madden this year and as soon as the game went into Gold last year (after it was completed but before it shipped) he was on message boards (OperationSports.com) asking us fans what we wanted to be done with future Madden games and he has added most of the things that he saw getting complaints from. Madden has had the feeling for the past year that the ship was being set straight on a great franchise. Go to that website I just listed and check out the Madden Forum. You will see what I'm talking about.

I'd say he is 100% correct. The series has been bland for the past 5 or 6 years at least. Just because the developers are now trying to get more involved doesn't mean that they haven't been the past few years. Madden hasn't been worth paying full price for about 5 or 6 years. I'll probably get this year's game, only because the Cardinals should finally be competitive when playing online.
