The New Orleans Saints list of draft prospect meetings is ever-growing, and that process has continued recently as the offseason enters its final stages before the Tennessee Titans are on the clock with the No. 1 pick. The Saints are looking to check in on plenty of prospects, giving the new coaching staff an idea of who they may like to select with their picks this year, and who they may not prefer.
One of the prospects they have shown strong interest in is Oklahoma State cornerback Korie Black, who they hosted for a private workout recently, which was reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. He also attended the Big 12 pro day, where he would post a 4.35-second 40-yard dash (hand-time), a 39-inch vertical jump, and 15 bench press reps.
Black fits the mold of typical Saints cornerback draft picks as well, on the older side of prospect groups with five years of collegiate experience, with improvement each season, and quality production lately. 2024 was a great year for the cornerback, where he posted 36 total tackles (28 solo, 8 assisted), 3 interceptions, and 9 pass deflections.
He was a player that for much of his later collegiate career, quarterbacks would avoid throwing anywhere near, as he was making an impact all over the field and his ball-hawking skills were immense. He could be an extremely intriguing prospect for the Saints to continue to take a look at, and potentially select come April.
