Per the Tampa press, Wilson sounds like a good pickup

Anybody who could get Thomas Jones to be productive has to be a good coach

Not really. The guy has all the talent in the world.

He will be having 1000 yard seasons in TB starting this coming season. WATCH?

Running backs coach Kirby Wilson and quarterbacks coach Stan Parrish will not have their contracts renewed, the team confirmed. Wilson has accepted a similar job with the Arizona Cardinals.

Roguki(sp) was the old coach, but who knows, maybe now we'll start producing some football players, instead of body builders.

I went to the Pioneer Press site, but couldn't find anything on Wetzel's hiring by Denny.

Rogucki was the one guy not fired by the Bidwills, but his staying on was predicated on a subsequent interview and decision by the new head coach.

Rogucki was the subject of some controversy. Sorry for a lay-person's understanding of this but I believe that Rogucki stressed slow uptake/slow downtake in order to make the muscles work harder.

This apparently differs from many other weight programs of NFL teams which, instead, stress more explosion on the initial uptake.

There had been buzz that some Cardinal players preferred to work out on their own during the offseason because they didn't agree with Rogucki's methods.

A shift to Wetzel or anyone else might therefore signal a shift in the Cardinals weight training regimen. And, depending on who you talk to, this could be huge.

Here it is Jeff.................................

Briefly: Chicago Bears head coaching candidate Lovie Smith has told people in Chicago that he would like to hire Vikings offensive coordinator Scott Linehan as his offensive coordinator if Smith gets the Bears job. Linehan is under contract to the Vikings, and it is highly unlikely they would grant him permission to go to Chicago. … Practice squad offensive lineman Adam Goldberg has agreed to terms with the Vikings, spurning offers from Detroit and Houston. … Vikings strength and conditioning coach Steve Wetzel has joined Dennis Green's staff in Arizona

Re: more info on Kirby Wilson

Interesting quote from the above named article from Pete Carroll:

"Kirby was with me in the NFL, and I saw him not only as an outstanding coach but as a great competitor and disciplinarian, said Carroll. "He was one of the toughest and most demanding coaches on my staff. He'll be a valuable addition to our Trojan program. "
