New Xbox 360 Experience - Nxe

Hi all this is a thread for the new NXE for XBOX 360. It's now available to download via XBOX LIVE. For those that don't know what it is, it's a new front end interface to replace the blade menu system. It adds lots of new features with more coming. You don't need a Gold membership to get it. You just need to create an XBOX LIVE account and sign on.

So, far it's pretty cool. I have created my Avatar etc. Still playing with it. I also, really like the new layout.

The NETFLIX interface has limited content for not but hopefully that changes soon. The area for creating Chat or Game Parties is cool. Also, like how they have media content stored now. Let me know what you think of it.

I don't like it either. I need to reconfigure my dashboard so it doesn't come up anymore by default when a game is inserted. That should cut down on viewing the dashboard a lot.

Exactly what I did.

I laughed after downloading it. For one second I thought Wii was playing a joke.

I do to. Much easier to navigate around then the old blades. Plus, match making in games is much easier. I personally prefere the avatars to the gamer pictures. Then again, if you still want to use your gamer picture you can.

avatar is a horrid, joke of a Mii.

You see the "new outfits"? one hat, one shirt, one jacket, one glove.

kidding? whats next? outfits i like that cost 200 ms points?

i love partys and stuff but the avatars are just stupid.

Yeah, avatars are pretty stupid but you know who got a kick out of them? My kids...

ehh... you win some you loose some.

I think there are going to be more customization available for the avatars soon. I think they were desperate to roll it out. I would be surprised if the Avatars stay as sterile as they are now.

PS. My kids also love them as well.
