Wishing to get a leg up on New Year's Resolutions, here are my early predictions of what Whiz will do ths year.
RESOLUTION, Whiz finally hires a proven OC-----PREDICTION, After reviewing the results of his experiment of turning play-calling over to Mike Miller, Whiz abandons the idea as not being the problem, and decides that his best approach is to return to calling plays himself.
RESOLUTION, Whiz finally hires a proven DC-----PREDICTION, After further review, Whiz's analysis is that Davis' schemes are not the problem, and that the real problem is that not enough of the players on the defensive side of the ball are knowlegabe enough to play the schemes. He sets about getting Bryan Robinson, Clark Hagans, Joey Porter, more help by trading Paris Lenon, Daryl Washington, Dan Williams, and O'Brian Schoefield for more knowlegable journeymen to support his veterans.
RESOLUTION, Whiz finally decides that DA may be a longer project than he thought at QB-----PREDICTION, Whiz sets about trying to get Mc Nabb in free agency, as he is far closer to being Warner-ready than DA is. He is convinced that by having the two compete for the starting job, he will have honed both to a razor edge by the start of the regular season, and will have the best 1-2 QB combo in the league.
RESOLUTION, Whiz sees the obvious need to replace Greg Toler in the starting lineup, with a more seasoned veteran who will not make rookie mistakes.-----PREDICTION, Whiz replaces Toler with Michael Adams who knows the playbook and is a sure tackler, and trades Greg Toler to Pittsburgh for Bryant McFadden, who has the knowlege to play the nickel back position. This gives us not only the most athletic CB force in the NFC, but the most experienced.
RESOLUTION, Whiz, decides not to pay Breaston (Fitz) money.-----PREDICTION, Whiz packages Breaston, Stevens-Howling, and Steven Williams to trade for a much cheaper T.O. to be the #2 receiver.
RESOLUTION, Whiz decides not to get caught short handed at QB this year.-----PREDICTION, Whiz, knowing he has fixed both the offense and the defense, trades our entire draft to move up to #1, and take Andrew Luck, so that he not only has 5 QB's to begin the 2011 season, but has Luck to compete with both Maximus and the Skeletor for QBOF/practice team QB.
