The New York Giants are adding another veteran quarterback to their room. Not Aaron Rodgers.

The Giants came to an agreement on Tuesday with Russell Wilson, formerly of the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wilson will join Jameis Winton in the Giants' quarterback room. Winston was agreed to terms last week.

Wilson got off to a hot start after replacing Justin Fields in Pittsburgh last season. However, the QB and team hit the skids late as they lost their last five games, including a playoff encounter with the Baltimore Ravens.

Wilson's contract, which is being finalized, is for one year and $10.5 million. With incentives, it could be worth up to $21 million. Winston's contract was two years for $8 million with incentives that could boost it to $16 million.

The Giants also have the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Where these moves leave the team with regards to a franchise quarterback for the future remains to be seen.

There had been a buzz the Giants wanted to trade up to the No. 1 slot in a deal with the Tennessee Titans to land the first pick in next month's draft. That talk about Miami quarterback Cam Ward has calmed as the Titans seem quite interested in him.

WIlson will be 37 in November. He went 6-5 as a starter in Pittsburgh in the regular season, throwing for 2,482 yards with 16 touchdowns and five picks.

Winston is 31. He played last season for the Cleveland Browns and became somewhat of an enchanting character. He was 2-5 as a starter and threw for 2,121 yards with 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Whether either quarterback has enough left to turn around a team that finished last in the NFC East in 2024 remains to be seen.
