The New York Giants continued their hard target search for quarterbacks on Tuesday by attending the pro day of Louisville's Tyler Shough, a quick-rising prospect in the 2025 NFL draft.

Shough is an older prospect at age 25 who began his collegiate career as Justin Herbert's backup at Oregon in 2018. He played in 15 games over three seasons after redshirting his first year. Shough moved on to Texas Tech in 2021 and played three injury-filled seasons there before landing at Louisville last year.

Shough may have had a lengthy college career but he played sparingly, taking just 951 snaps. He was proficient, completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 3,195 yards (8.2 yards per attempt) with 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions last season. Shough also appeared in five bowl games in his career.

Shough has been mentioned by several draft enthusiasts and experts as a possible Day 2 selection in next month's draft. The Giants are likely to miss out their top rookie target, Miami's Cam Ward, after his stellar pro day on Monday and will have to find their developmental project later in the draft.
