They were unrestricted free agents who had no more reason to sign with the Cardinals than any other team. You can blame Keim for not extending them before the end of the 2022 season, though.Sorry let leave, Allen and Murphy

A dt that can pressure in the middle.
A true edge rusher
A speed wr
Depth along the lines.
That should not be impossible to get done
Two 1st round picks is where the McCarthy convo would start but they do not want to trade McCarthy.
The Giants would do their 1st for McCarthy and hope Kevin O’Connell rubbed off on him for a year.
The Vikings fans I know all say they LOVE McCarthy. He was going to be the starter not Darnold before he got hurt. I have no idea if true but none of them think it's even remotely possible they would trade him on a rookie contract, and give Darnold a big new deal
It’s not a tie man lol Will is inching close to elite status while Paris is a very solid/good Tackle. Guess what? We still need a EDGE. Not a huge whiff, but it’s something that can’t be ignored.
my dream scenario is we throw two second round picks at the Vikings for mcarthy …who Walter Mitchell says “would be perfect for petzig offense….thing is the vikes would be wise to take advantage of his rookie contract …..
Exactly. Kind of crushes the idea that Monti has been a great drafter. The same stuff we needed last draft.
They started to accumulate too many penalties. That’s likely the sign of fatigue caused by all the injuries and a lack of roster depth. I completely disagree that they didn’t compete. They win the Panters game outright if Connors isn’t injured, resulting in the Cards’ top 3 RBs out. A fluke cost them the Rams game. The end of this season looks almost exactly like the end of Kliff’s tenure here. Good, motivated teams don’t collapse like this. Monti put together the roster than collapsed over the second half of the season. Gannon coached a team that collapsed against an awful Panthers team.
Saying there are good signs around another late-season collapse just doesn’t compute.
I tried that and it scared me so badly I didn’t recover for days. You should look in the mirror sometimes. You might find out quite a bit about yourself.
Didn’t re-sign Allen & Murphy. They weren’t realeased, but re-signable free agentsWhat good players did Ossenfort release?
That tooOk yea I'm blaming the wrong GM then,
Thanks
If affordable, worth considering.I’m Also OG and OC
Yes in an alternate reality where things that did happen didn't, the conclusions will be different. They started to accumulate too many penalties. With two knee surgeries already? Teams would laugh and hang up the phone if that’s the priceTwo 1st round picks is where the McCarthy convo would start but they do not want to trade McCarthy.
Isn't that sort of the problem? They were unrestricted free agents who had no more reason to sign with the Cardinals than any other team.
The underbelly is fully built, we have plenty of back end roster options. We desperately need above average starters and difference makers, just like we did the past 2 offseasons!Again, there's plenty of roster depth. We competed with our third and fourth OTs against Carolina and the Rams. There aren't enough top-end players.
Not expecting Connor to play 17. Also not expecting the top 3 RBs to be out at the same time. Agree the roster was thin. The penalties were most not on the guys playing because of injury.Yes in an alternate reality where things that did happen didn't, the conclusions will be different.
Depending on James Conner to be healthy for 17 games is a fool's errand. Who was the GM who has made the offense entirely dependent on that happening?

I have heard the same thing. McCarthy was the guy and will be the guy next year unless Darnold takes them to a Super Bowl. The Vikings fans I know all say they LOVE McCarthy. He was going to be the starter not Darnold before he got hurt. I have no idea if true but none of them think it's even remotely possible they would trade him on a rookie contract, and give Darnold a big new deal
I think C is going to need to wait a year. Fro and Gaines is fine for the short term. Also OG and OC
They wouldn't but we can disagree. McCarthy is practically untouchable and should be.With two knee surgeries already? Teams would laugh and hang up the phone if that’s the price
