Not like he contributed much for that ring...

So im sure its not very sentimental to him to own it.

Being a practice squad player, 28K is quite a nice chunk of change, if he can get it, good for him!

Dude did what was asked of him and earned the ring just like everyone else. I imagine it's HUGELY sentimental to him.

yeah they didn't win it all but everyone but the steelers didn't either it sickens me that they are so unpassionate about their occupation

Im not saying he didn't earn it. I just think its not as sentimental to him as it would be to say, Fitz, Warner, or somebody else who had a more direct impact than they did.

in fact it was me that started a thread here shortly after the superbowl titled "our team gets some bling too"
i was really happy for them there are thousands of players who never even got a afc/nfc champ ring after sweating blood their whole careers

sorry but unless he's losing his house or his wife has cancer and he needs the money or something then he's a worthless puke in my book and it should be in every other cards fans book as well

to think this punk and if i met him i'd call him a punk to his face ,hell i called oj a murderer to his face stardom doesn't intimidate me but i digress

this punk could have at least held on to it so that if he was unfortunate enough to reproduce he could leave it for his child
what a loser, i'm sorry i ever cheered for him

after waiting a lifetime to see my team...our team make it to the show it means so little to him he'll sell his legacy on e-bay to the highest bidder!

what a tool, hope he blows out his acl and has to work at wal mart the rest of his life
man i'm angry and i hope the mods understand i don't wish ill on anybody
but this guy just got my ire up and made me feel like a chump for rooting for my beloved cardinals
enough said, if i offended anyone i'm sorry lets get on with the season and tear the jags a new one

It's his. He can do what he wants with it.
Exactly! I think freebyrd's comments are way over the top. It's due to sentiments such as his that Keyes didn't want this to be public information in the first place. It's really no one's business but Keyes. Now I am sorry that I helped to discover his identity...

Now you know how I felt when I told my wife that "you know, without his glasses, that Clark Kent dude looks just like Superman", and now it's all over the place.

Is it his name that's blacked out or does it just say "Runner-up"

I have been here going on three years now and that is by far the most disgusting post I ever read on here. Nobody in here knows what this person's financial situation is. I'm almost certain this ring means a lot to all the members of the Cardinals who earned it last year from the practice squad on up. I feel bad for this person if they are selling it because they need the $$$. Of they are selling it because they don't want it that's cool too, it's theirs to do as they see fit. Ripping someone apart for selling their personal property and hoping injury on them is about as bad as it gets.

A kid today mentioned Santa Clause to me today. I almost said "You still believe in Santa?"

Yeah, I suck.

The ring now has a starting bid of $15k, "buy it now" for $20k. I don't know why this player would sell his ring, but whatever his reason, it is his to sell and do what he wants with it. We should not stand in judgment of him.

If I could afford it I'd buy it. It would have a place of honor in my home, don't care who it belonged to as much as I care of what it stands for. We may never see one of those again in our lifetime.

sorry i offended anybody that wasn't my intent i love and respect everybody on this board and i don't insert my foot in my mouth everyday, but your right it is his but he wouldn't be who he is without us the fans
i am emotionally wrapped in my team and rabid about my fanaticism and things like this or edgerinn james throwing our teams jersey in the trash just infuriates me and makes me feel like a chump

cause its obvious i care more about the game than they do or at least more about the team i care for

i'm sorry i was just venting forgive me if i offended you

I wasn't offended FB, I can certainly appreciate being aggrevated by players who do such things. No worries. I don't think that this persons is selling this out of hatred for the team though.

By the way, it's pretty obvious is Keyes' ring.

Auction is listed by "eddiekeyes69", not a professional auction lister.

Ring says it was "PLAYER NAME" nad #38 on the side. Keyes wore #38.

I'd love to have a Championship ring, but probably not a ring that says Keyes 38 on the side.

Any Quality Jeweler can have Keyes' name removed and even have yours added. That part of the 14 K gold is rhodium plated and not a problem for a true craftsmen to fix in this world of jewelry creations and upgrades.

Thanks for stepping up.

But it's not about us (the board) being offended but the man you called out, Keyes; and also about the keeping the standards and integrity of this board.

Everyone, myself included, have no idea of the intent or personal situation of those who play for the Cardinals. It's a good idea to always keep that in mind when we post.

And I think that's how Skkorpion wants it.
