NFL announces change to 2025 compensatory picks

The NFL announced compensatory picks for the 2025 NFL draft earlier this week. In all, 35 picks were awarded to 15 teams. Of the 35, 32 were for losses in free agency. Three were special compensatory picks to the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions for having minority coaches or executives hired as head coaches or general managers.

The NFL announced a recalculation of picks on Friday. The New Orleans Saints received one they did not have and the Miami Dolphins lost one of their two seventh-round compensatory picks.

As a result, the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers had their picks slide back by one selection.

As for the Arizona Cardinals, nothing changes. They still have no compensatory picks, as expected.
