Pretty normal.

I know it's normal. I just don't see why it has to be like that other than it has always been like that. In the beginning when it was two separate leagues it made some sense.

It gives teams a week to practice for real, before flying in and dealing with distractions...and gives an extra week to get healthy.

PiP and 24/7 non commercial shows keeps those ads away from my brain lol

The real reason is to squeeze as many dollars as possible out of it. For the host city that is a good thing. They don't really give a chit about the players getting healthy. If they did there would not be a preseason.

I know it's a cool thing to do now, but I don't like coaches sitting on 3 TOs until under 45 secs. They wasted too much time. A TD is unlikely now.
