lmao @ our QBs throwing only 4 TDs in the last 5 games last year. And when you consider they were all to the defense, it's SUPER pathetic

Fitz has had to catch passes from 14 QBs here. WOW.

Don Coryell, before my time, but damn, the Cards were kinda good once

Fitz's record postseason is almost the same as this last year's regular season. In only 25% of the time. Against all playoff teams

Warner going to 3 SBs on his only 3 complete seasons is insane

If Palmer can play as well as he did last year with such terrible weapons, our WR trio could do it again

Amazing that the Cards had 3 WRs go over 1000 yards and only finished 9-7.

Thankfully the writer left out Joe Namath the Cards first round pick in 1965 who I guess doesn't count as modern era because that was before the SB.

They also left out three of the most mind blowing stats of all: Dead last in rushing attempts 5 times in the last 8 seasons and finishing 5-11 in half the seasons 2005-2012.

And last but not least finishing either 4-12 or 5-11 twelve times in 25 years in Arizona. Hats off to the Bidwills because that takes some special talent.

Awesome read.

Cardinals want to shed the "Same ol' Cardinals" mantra ?

They should embrace the past, and put it in the spotlight for all to see, and then start checking them off.

Only once had back to back 10 or more wins in a season. Try to beat it.

Highest win total 11 wins. Try to beat it.

Etc., etc., etc.

Some they can check off the list. Like sign an extremely young and talented player to a contract extension, in a proactive way that competes with the modern day NFL.

Calais Campbell's contract would satisfy that goal. I mean, I still can't believe the Cardinals did that. To me, that is one of the most hopeful things that the Cardinals have done as of late. Re-signing Campbell was VERY VERY UN-Cardinal like. I remember the news seemed like it came out of the blue.

I'd also put DWash's extension on there until he got in trouble. Another young, talented player and they extended him on a good contract way early (sadly he's messed up and put that future in jeopardy, but a good football move years before they even typically would look at his contract

The Coryell years were so much fun to watch. A very exciting offense.
