The Cleveland Browns are reportedly interested in a University of Texas receiver: projected mid-round pick and Alabama transfer Isaiah Bond.
The Browns have scheduled a top-30 visit with speedster Isaiah Bond. The Longhorns had their pro day, and the NFL was in full attendance. Bond helped his stock rise after a successful Pro Day.
The dynamic receiver improved his time in the 40-yard dash. Bond ran a hand-timed 4.34 40-yard dash. Bond posted a 4.39 40-yard dash at the combine. He was infamously booed by the combine crowd after his 40-yard attempts. Fans expected the electric receiver to run closer to 4.2 after Bond hyped up his training.
The Browns need a lot more speed in their receiving room. The team hasn’t found a deep threat in years. Bond would be a great addition to a Browns team desperate for explosive plays. Bond is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound receiver. His slight frame limits his ceiling in the NFL. Bond struggles to play through contact and must develop the strength to fight through press coverage. Bond is a shifty receiver who primarily wins with speed. His limited role could see him slip from round two to round four in the draft.
Bond could be a natural fit for a Browns team desperate for receiving talent. The team is doing their due diligence on the electric receiver.
