The only thing that would interest me, would be that the seven rounds would go on as they do now. And on the fourth day, they do a team-by-team breakdown on the un-drafted guys that are signed, after the draft. We could see some video and get some intel on guys that most of us know nothing about.

Sounds good.

I liked the NFL draft the best when it was only 2 days although I can tolerate the 3 day process. What made the 2 day draft special for me it was sort of like a weekend getaway where I could tell the wife to cancel everything. I would watch the entire draft even if I did not have a clue about the players being drafted in the late.

I would rather it go back to April and the two day format. The draft has always been my Super Bowl but even I wouldn't watch a fourth day of it.

The day after the SuperBowl, the NFL will begin the draft. Picks #1 and #2 go the first day, pick #3 and #4 the second day, pick #5 and #6 the third day, etc. I've not done the math but picking two players a day until camp starts should extend the NFL draft process for most of the year. Of course, each day's picks will require four hours of broadcast time and several hours of commercials.

But it isn't more. It is the same, just now to be stretched out unnecessarily even farther.

It is like saying that adding a half hour of commercials to a show makes more content. Which is probably what this is all about. More commercials, more money, worse fan experience.
This is the reason I believe. More advertising.

Leave it the way it is. Even better go back to the 2 day weekend

I remember being able to binge-watch the draft on Saturday and Sunday. Now, I'm lucky to catch 20 minutes of the whole thing.

3 days isn't good. 4 days would be mind numbing.

+1

It was already a mistake to push the draft back two weeks, why ruin it more ?

Goodell is just a HORRIBLE leader. Horrible.

How about one round every Sunday at 1:00 for seven straight weeks?

Just think of all that ad revenue.

I don't believe that the NFL intentionally moved the draft back two weeks. They are saying that the venue (Radio City) wasn't available on the weekend that they usually held it.

they really need to change that tired old venue if they want to make changes..... Superbowl is a different city each year,...they change the pro bowl..... but apparently the collective NFL head is so far up new yorks ass they feel they cannot hold the draft in any other place.....

if they were that important to new York,....the site would have been held for them on that weekend....

Agreed - this has always been a sore point for me - the draft is always filled with obnoxious New Yorkers.

Rotate it. Let the West Coast host a draft. Let the Midwest host a draft.

I believe the venue is only about 4-5 blocks from NFL headquarters which would partly explain why they use it.

Move it to Chicago or Pittsburgh for a year. Those cities will never get to host a Super Bowl. Throw them a bone by letting them have the draft for a year. The NFL is too Northeast-oriented.

I'm into the draft and for that very reason I hate the idea and I really dislike our current commissioner more and more with every passing change suggested

I hate when ESPN shows the prospect on the phone with the team before

the pick is announced.
