The most intriguing question of Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft: is Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart a first-round pick?

We know that Cam Ward is all but a lock to be the first QB off the board and seemingly the first pick overall. Shedeur Sanders might be next and perhaps the New York Giants have their eye on him.

But Dart? Mock drafts have him going in the first to the Rams or there's one with him heading to the Saints -- there are teams that need a QB of the future.

In our latest mock draft from Christian D'Andrea, he's got Dart going to the Giants at pick No. 32 with a trade involved. And in the latest ESPN mock from Field Yates, he's got Dart going to No. 21 to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who definitely need a QB.

Here's his take:

While it seems the Steelers are the most likely landing spot for Aaron Rodgers, signing him would not preclude them from looking toward the future at quarterback. Rodgers is 41 years old, and each coming season is a true year-to-year proposition. But Pittsburgh hasn't even signed Rodgers yet, meaning Mason Rudolph is the current QB1. Let's lock up another signal-caller for the Steelers here.

Dart broke Eli Manning's school record at Ole Miss for passing yards (4,279) and led the FBS in yards per attempt (10.8) in 2024. He has good mobility and accuracy, throwing 52 touchdowns and 11 interceptions over the past two seasons.

Intriguing! Make sure to check out our latest mock draft from D'Andrea!
