The questions about how many QBs are going in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft continue to swirl.

Two -- Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders -- appear to be a lock. The first-round buzz about Ole Miss's Jaxson Dart is there.

So who else could be in the running? In the latest NFL mock draft from our Christian D'Andrea, he has just two QBs (Ward and Sanders) in the first round. And in the latest ESPN mock from Matt Miller, he's got three, with Dart to the Rams.

But there are two big names in Round 2: at pick No. 33, the Browns take Louisville's Tyler Shough, and the Saints grab Texas's Quinn Ewers at No. 40.

What's his take there?

Derek Carr will be back in 2025, but there's a sense around the league that he's a placeholder while the Saints draft their QB of the future. Ewers has injury concerns, but he did lead the Longhorns to the College Football Playoff semifinals in back-to-back seasons. He's a touch-and-timing passer who would fit new coach Kellen Moore's offense. Ewers doesn't add value as a runner and must work at seeing the field faster, but his arm talent and mechanics are fits for a future NFL starter.

Intriguing! Be sure to check out the latest NFL mock draft from D'Andrea!
