Is there anybody else who thinks the NFL Network sucks, all they do is show superbowl game films and the 10 best this and that. I dont watch much baseball anymore but at least the MLB station has respect for the history of the sport and shows old historic games the NFL Network outside of showing the same super bowl games over and over acts like the sport dident exist before 1985, ESPN classic used to show the old this week in the NFL with Pat Summeral and Tom Brookshire with the great music of Sam Spence, now I just go on youtube for classic NFL

They are way better in season IMO. Until the actual NFL draft, there isn't much of interest on the channel outside of Ian Rapaport's reporting. Once the season hits and Rich Eisen and the rest of the A-team rejoins, they'll be much better.

Like ESPN, they are over-loaded with ex-players who add very little.

I think the NFL Network used to be much better, and has steadily gotten worse and worse.

When they did their own thing, they were the best, but now they are "competing" by trying to rip off other sports show.

They used to have a highlight show called Coach Speak, and it was the best NFL highlight/recap show I had seen at that time.

Cancelled it.

NFL Network should show high lights for every single game, and more high lights per game than any other network, and they don't.

It is ridiculous, what is the time crunch ? So what if the highlight show is 3+ hours long ? They are just going to repeat the 1.5 hr version 10 times over the course of the day.

I dunno, the network had a lot of promise, but now it is the same ol same ol

NFL network is a 6 team commercial. New England, Packers, Giants, Jets and now you see Seattle. After that we are lucky when the manage to say the word Cardinals.

Didn't take long for them to turn into ESPN with their pet teams. Their ex-player commentators are horrible save for Marshall Faulk. Deon, oy. Even Kurt Warner seems out of his element here. The best league network is the NHL Network. It actually talks hockey and it doesn't try to be an entertainment network. The NBA network is a close 2nd.

I don't watch it for the above listed reasons.

Honestly, if they had real team coverage that was balanced, and had real insider info, I would watch it.

The draft coverage is ok, but I still actually <shudders> prefer ESPN.

I've been really enjoying their "Path to the Draft" segments which air from 7-8 PM EDT M-F. In fact, I am going to open a new threat about the discussion they had about the Cardinals at #20 last night.

I like the network and watch it daily. I enjoy they on screen cast of characters more than other networks. They seem to have a lot of fun with what they are reporting or whatever. I am glad they have a network, especially during the season.

I would not mind it except for the awful, yelling, spat chunking banter of Michael Irvin whom they encourage constantly to talk about the Cowboys when he does not even need the prompting. I actually like some of Deon's opinions and at least he is unbiased and truthful in my observation

The movement of the NFL draft to May seems to have left a huge void in their programming options. Maybe they will have to move the hemlines of their token female panelists even higher.

I agree and something I don't understand. If they did just 10 minutes a week on each game it would only take up around 3 hours of network time out of 168 hours. I've always wished there were a show where retired coaches would analyze that weeks games. But no, the NFL network has to show 100 replays of every New England Super bowl.

ESPN's coverage of the NFL is much better. Last year's ESPN draft coverage was light years ahead of NFLN, which I agree with RM has gotten steadily worse, while ESPN's coverage has gotten better.

You see players that are vocal about their previous teams there
we have none
for KW, he doesn't seem to be a cardinal
everyone remembers him as superbowl winner & MVP with Rams

Yes I would like to watch some classic NFL games jerseycard. After the draft they could show one or two of each teams best games say for a particular decade.

They could also show each teams top 2 or 3 games from the previous year during the off season too. Especially leading up to the draft.

I agree it seems like they only want to talk about the big market teams non stop. It's the Giants, Jets, Patriots, Bears, Cowboys Network. Throw in the 49ers and Packers as well. Seattle is getting attention but that seems kind of obligatory since they just won the SB.

It is rare when I watch them for any length of time much anymore. I will watch it more during the season or when there is any national Cardinal news to see how quickly they can speed through it so they can back to Jets and Giants.

Yeah, everythings pretty much geared to selling the young. They're not concerned with the old sfuff much.

Maybe a throw back night would work. One night a week. ;)

I've tried several time to get NFL films to do a feature on the 1970 Cardinals. The team that had 3 straight shutouts and started Dan Merideth singin "turn out the lights" They either laugh or ignore me.

But then I've been at alumni golf tournaments and the players on the 1970 team don't seem to think much of it either. Heck Larry Wilson didn't even remember it.

What's wrong with them? Why won't they do a feature on a team that went 8-5-1, finished in 3rd in their division, and didn't make the playoffs.
