Are we back to 2022? After multiple offseasons of negative talk about quarterback Kyler Murray, after Jonathan Gannon became head coach, everything has been positive.

But as we approach the NFL draft, when crazy scenarios are presented, some of the negative talk has reappeared because of one national reporter.

On the Adam Schefter Podcast on Monday, Schefter spoke about possible landing spots for Colorado quarterback Shaedeur Sanders, as it appears he will not be going second or third overall.

Schefter wasn't reporting anything as to the Cardinals' interest in Sanders, but he said they could be a crazy wild card with the 16th pick.

"I don't think Arizona's likely, but there have been questions about Kyler Murray," Schefter said. "There have been questions about the owner not being a huge fan. What if all of a sudden, they take Shadeur Sanders and then it puts them in a position to move on from Kyler Murray?"

Schefter is saying there is information out there about owner Michael Bidwill not being a big fan of the quarterback he gave more money than any other player in the history of the franchise.

Are these questions that stemmed from 2022, his contract negotiations, offseason holdout and ultimate down year in terms of play? Or was it because of the late-season turnovers when the Cardinals went from leading the NFC after 10 games to losing five of their final seven?

Gannon has been nothing but effusive in his praise of Murray.

But with the money they are paying Murray this season and the money they are paying Jacoby Brissett to be his backup, would they really pay first-round money again?

Even if Bidwill isn't the biggest fan, that seems far-fetched, and if the Cardinals make the postseason and Murray plays well, my guess is Bidwill will no longer have any reservations.
