Andre Johnson and Lee Evans but no Boldin???

22. Adrian Wilson, S, Arizona Cardinals: For the past three years, he has been one of the most underrated players in the league. Now he's a true Pro Bowl player.

30. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona Cardinals: When he and Matt Leinart become more comfortable together, Fitzgerald's numbers will improve. He has the big-play ability all the great receivers need.

Nice to see AW on the list, but Fitz ahead of Q is criminal.

It isn't criminal. Q holds a special place in the hearts of Cards fans. The rest of the league doesn't see those intangibles.

I think that they are very close anyway.

No Boldin on the list at all is criminal though.

Andre Johnson #14?

:biglaugh:

Lee Evans #36?

:biglaugh:

I honestly think that he just forgot about Boldin. He wasn't in his "just missed" list either.

I guarantee you most NFL fans, players and fantasy geeks would place Boldin over Fitz. I dont think it's just a Cards fan thing.

Why, hasn't Fitz has been a bigger fantasy scorer over Boldin for the past 3 years or so?

Just sayin.

In my league;

(2004-2006 seasons)
Boldin
Games played: 40
Fantasy points: 391
Average per season: 130.3
Average per game: 9.8

Fitzgerald
Games played: 45
Fantasy points: 499
Average per season: 166.3
Average per game: 11.0

So basically, +1 ppg for Fitz. Close enough to call it equal.

Q is easily better than Fitzgerald. He's more complete and a better playmaker.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!! NOOOOO!

Not another - Whose is better ? Boldin or Fitz. Thread.

After about 6 million of these threads the conclusion is you are comparing apples to oranges.

Fitz - is more of your prototypical receiver

Boldin - more of a hybrid player that, put in various positions and situations.

It is a debate that has been going on for years, and I would hate to lose a debate about the top 50 players for another Boldin vs Fitz thread.

On second thought go for it.

That list is bullpoopy. No thought put into it at all. I stopped reading after I saw Ty Warren on the list.

BOLDIN:

Games: 55 - Receptions: 342 - Yards: 4605

The fastest man to 300 catches in league history, and, I believe, only Lance Alworth reached 4000 yards quicker. These are TANGIBLES, for all to see.

But rating Fitz over Boldin still shouldn't be considered criminal.

Like nidan said, I am not trying to debate one is definitely better than the other, I am just stating that one isn't much better than the other. It isn't like we are comparing Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, or Ocho Cinco and Whosyomama.

My league breaks it down like this:

2004-2006

Anquan Boldin
Rec: 241
Yds: 3228
TDs: 12
Rushing Yds: 76
Rushing TDs: 0
Total Pts: 631 (rounded)

Larry Fitzgerald
Rec: 230
Yds: 3135
TDs: 24
Rushing Yds: 55
Rushing TDs: 0
Total Pts: 669

So, yeah, I guess Fitz is a better fantasy player, but not by a ton. About 22 more fantasy points a season, which is a little more than a point better a game.

I just read this. You know whats more of a travesty then Boldin not being in the top 50?

The fact that he doesnt even list him in the next 20 players he lists at the bottom as "just missed"

That means he doesnt think Boldin is even worthy of a top 70 ranking much less top 50. Prisco is doink!

Silly Q fanatics.

Larry is superior to 'Quan in every category except running people over.

Andre Johnson is actually better than Boldin. I can't really argue with that one, but Lee Evans over Boldin is debatable because while both are great young receivers, Boldin = Pro Bowler. Evans = not yet.
