On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Pavel Dorofeyev, LW/RW, VGK vs. DET (42% rostered)

A hat-trick performance against the Bruins gives Dorofeyev six goals in five games, and he’s now averaging nearly one goal every two games. The Wings shouldn’t be tough to beat, and they’re expected to start Cam Talbot in net, who hasn’t seen action since they traded for Petr Mrazek. Dorofeyev’s always a good bet to get a ton of shots on net.

Dylan Cozens, C, OTT at NJ (42% rostered)
Fabian Zetterlund, LW/RW, OTT at NJ (21% rostered)

You know what you’re getting with Cozens, and he should be picked up in multi-category leagues. He scored the Sens’ lone goal against the Avs on the power play and provides points, shots, faceoff wins and plenty of hits.

Zetterlund is the more intriguing option. After starting on the fourth line, Zetterlund was promoted to Tim Stutzle and Brady Tkachuk’s line during Friday’s skate. That’s a good spot for him; not only will his ice time increase, that line also generates a ton of offense.

JJ Peterka, LW/RW, BUF at MIN (41% rostered)

Peterka missed three games but upon his return scored his 20th goal of the season in a 5-2 loss to Utah. He added six shots and was again a focal point of the Sabres offense playing in his usual spot alongside Alex Tuch and Tage Thompson. Second-line center Ryan McLeod (2% rostered), who’s stepped up with injuries to Josh Norris and Jiri Kulich, is also a good option; he’s on a five-game points streak and played over 20 minutes in four of his past five games.

Logan Cooley, C, UTA vs. TB (40% rostered)

I had a feeling Cooley’s scoring was going to pick up and he carries a three-game points streak into this tough matchup. Cooley’s role on L1 is very secure, and he’s also since replaced Barrett Hayton on PP1, who held that spot earlier when Cooley just returned from injury. The Lightning won’t give up much, but the usage and deployment for Cooley is good, and there aren’t many 1C’s on the waiver wire.

Brayden Schenn, C/LW, STL vs. CHI (33% rostered)

The much deeper and more experienced Blues should feast on the Hawks in this matchup, with Schenn likely to see lots of Connor Bedard, who can barely defend. Schenn has two goals and three assists in his past four games and he’s one of the most consistent players in terms of providing multi-category value, especially in leagues that count faceoff wins and hits.

Jeff Skinner, LW, EDM vs. SEA (26% rostered)

Injuries to Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl leaves the Oilers’ lineup really thin. Look for Skinner to move up to the top line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins at center and Zach Hyman on the other wing. Skinner’s coming off a two-goal performance and skated 17:06, well above his season average, and he’ll get plenty of ice time again.

Mason Marchment, LW, DAL vs. PHI (25% rostered)

Really good matchup for Marchment, who carries a four-game points streak into this game. He hasn’t produced much offense until now following a long absence due to injury, and the Flyers have allowed at least three goals in eight of their past nine games.

Morgan Geekie, C/LW/RW, BOS at SJ (14% rostered)

If we’re going to exploit this matchup, Geekie’s a top option. He’s scored three points and seven shots in his past two games, and he’s preferred over Pavel Zacha because Geekie plays PP1 with David Pastrnak while Zacha’s on PP2. Geekie has the slight edge for that reason, not to mention he provides a little more multi-category coverage than Zacha.

Ryan Hartman, C/RW, MIN vs. BUF (11% rostered)

Marco Rossi is not expected to miss this game after leaving their previous game against the Kraken with an injury but, if he does, look for Hartman to play a ton of minutes. He played 22:26 against the Kraken and scored his third point in two games, while providing his usual diet of shots, faceoff wins and some hits.

Nils Hoglander, LW/RW, VAN at NYR (1% rostered)

The Canucks’ top line with Hoglander opposite Brock Boeser with Elias Pettersson in the middle continues to shine. Hoglander assisted on Boeser’s first goal against the Blues, his seventh assist in nine games. Hoglander’s puck retrieval skills has allowed him really rack up the assists and he will likely continue to do so with Pettersson’s play improving and Boeser scoring again.
