The NHL says it is investigating after Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw appeared to use a gay slur after he was sent to the penalty box late in Chicago's loss to the St. Louis Blues. Spokesman John Dellapina said Wednesday that the league would have no comment until the investigation is completed. While sitting in the box, Shaw pounded on the glass with his stick and then yelled what looked like a slur toward someone on the ice.
