NHL Playoffs - the road to the Stanley Cup begins

I really thought that Atlanta would put up a bigger fight against the Rangers, but Henrik Lundqvist did a stellar job. He's only 24, in his second NHL season, and already has an Olympic gold medal and is now putting up big time numbers in one of the harshest environments for a goaltender.

Likewise I thought the Pens would be able to take it six or seven games against the Senators. They'll get their chance soon enough though.

I hate the Rangers. Growing up a Devils fan, I will hate Messier forever. I enjoyed watching him when he was with Edmonton, but when he went to the Rangers, he became the enemy.

The Devils take a 3-2 lead over Tampa as Brodeur gets another playoff save.

what turned the game in the sharks favor? - more undisciplined, cheap hockey by the dirty bunch - including a spear - providing the 3rd non fighting major/misconduct in a 5 game set

Ottawa vs. Anaheim for the Cup starting on Monday. I don't know if I can think of a more unexciting final than that. This is the first time in a long time that I have very little interest in watching the Stanley Cup finals.

I suppose it's personal preference. I think it will be one hell of a series. Buffalo was flat all off-season while Ottawa has been hot. These are the two best teams this post season. Anaheim won their first three series 4-1, 4-1, and 4-2. Ottawa won their first three series 4-1, 4-1, and 4-1.

I'll be watching every game and pulling for the Ducks. I'd like to see S. California finally win the Cup. The Kings should have won the Cup in 1990-1991 when they had the best record in the West, but they couldn't get past Edmonton. I still cringe when I hear Peter Klima's name.

good - it's nice to see pronger getting put to task for his liberal cheap shots - this is nothing new for him though - head hunting two stars players so far this post season with cheap elbows

I had the pleasure of being in Ottawa this past weekend and I must say it was absolutely great. On Saturday my fiance and I had a hotel on Elgin St, which is their main nightlife street, and after the Sens win the street was filled with people wearing red. I had to laugh because if I didn't know it I would have thought they won the cup not just one game. lol. It's unfortunate that they don't look like they'll win it all. Great hockey town
