Wasn't it Kent Somers who warned the Cards would not fare well in free agency? When is the press going to learn a new era has dawned? On the other hand all this activity is messing with my draft predictions.

Harry!!! Great year so far, HUH?

Draft questions.

As things stand right now, if the top 3 rb's are gone when the Cards are on the clock with the #8 selection, what should we do?

CB then RB?

Your thoughts on Justin Miller and Ciatrick Fason, please.

The best thing is Okeafor plays LEFT End..... Too many RDE out there. I am stoked. I don't care if these moves flop. The key is Green is making them. I'm tired of waiting for nothing. Go out and get the guys we want to play in AZ!!!

I'd Still like to see a corner and guard (DeMulling?)

Thats right. The Cards can't attract any free agents. They don't want to play here. No way a team like the Cards could pull drain away the talent of division rival in free agency. They don't have that kind of credibility. Credibility like that has to be earned. They way the local sports pundits earned theirs. Like Somers.

I'm still trying to catch my breath. I am expecting them to sign Jim Brown any day now.

I think the question on the draft is well placed. I believe all three backs will be gone when the Cards select. If they get dead lucky, Benson drops in their lap. Don't be shocked if Johnson is gone as well.

Before this glut of free agents I wrote off the idea of moving down, but now it depends on who is still on the board. The Cards could drop and still pick up Rolle or Rogers. Smith (TE) is also there. Barron would be another possiblity. You almost have to believe they are thinking corner as they clearly have a void.

Maybe they could package their top two choices plus Shelton and get the Cowboys two first round picks. I hate these silly trade scenarios, but lately more trades are being made.

I just don't see a player whose value I like at 8. If I had to take someone it would be Rolle (best athlete), but I'm not certain his style works well with the new rules. I drop down if I can. There are actually a couple of good corners at the beginning of round 2 as well, so all is not lost. I could live with Baron at this selection, but it's higher than he merits.

We'll know more by April 15th.

Why doesn't Somers just leave Arizona? Today on KFNS in St. Louis they had him on as a guest and he had nothing but negative things to say about the Cards. Warner was washed up-Green has no plan-the Cardinals have very few fans in Arizona-almost all the response in Arizona about the free agent aquisitions have been negative.
The on air guys were much more complimentary to the Cardinals than Somers. Kevin Slaten said that he thought that Michael Bidwill was the smartest young football president in the NFL. Never heard as many complimentary Cardinal comments as I have in the past few days.

You cant imagine the negativity of some of the reporters in Arizona.

Its like if the Cards win the Super Bowl they will be complaining about SOMETHING.

And the media types in the Valley wonder why Green won't give them the time of day.

I hate our local sports writers for the Cards. MAybe they could show some initiative and support the local team and get people to follow suit so the Cards would have more backers instead of taking the view of most Casual Fans. It's disgusting.
