Even if they are the enemy , and I consider them such , it was a class move on their part .

That was cool. Very classy move from the enemy. Instead of beating them next game and taking no prisoners we can take a few prisoners.

Very classy and obviously the right choice. Now I have to ask, why wasn't this caught at the combine medical exams?

And to the medical staff, too. Sounds like the Seahawk doctors found something that no other doctor ever had. Who knows how much damage may have just prevented, considering that the problem is serious enough to prevent him from playing football.

The company I work for brings a staff in from Denver every two years to give us full heart work ups. Every time they save a life or two just from what they find in the exams.

Least this young man can get care because someone knows what they are looking at.

The Seattle Organization has always been a class act. This is but yet another example of it. Ownership obviously cares about its employees.

Well done Seattle. It was definitely a classy move but can we somehow make sure we don't pass any of the credit to Pete Carroll whether he was involved or not? I really don't want to have to stop detesting the guy.

Sorry, not buying this crap.

There is no confirmation (as this article states) that Garrett Scott will receive over half a million dollars. By signing him, Scott gets a signing bonus of approximately $90 to $100k (of which, about 50% will be eaten by taxes and agent fees).

By waiving him with the Non-Football Illness Designation, according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, he will not be entitled to any further compensation while on the Non-Football Injury or Illness list.

So, Scott gets to cash a check for about $50k while the Great, Powerful, Classy Seahawks use this as advertising to cash-in on a PR stunt, and along with their probable insurance settlement claim.

Excuse me if I don't stand in line to swing off their jock.

Greeon could have kicked him to the curb heartless style, props to them for cutting any type of check after the diagnosis.
