Terrible situation Leftwich has been put it. Almost impossible to win... He's not even getting to call his own play concepts ... he's using the half-baked McCoy offense they installed at the beginning of the year.

Leftwich had a mini bye plus the real bye to make his tweaks to the playbook and incorporate other concepts. Let's try not to absolve him here. He is in over his head. Somewhere down the line, he may prove to be a good OC but he was handed am impossible situation talent-wise with no previous OC experience.

So they scored on the scripted plays. Then as soon as it's fully in Rosen's hands, they can't score at all. That sounds so familiar. The New Orleans game with Arians is the one that stands out the most. It's happened this year before though. I don't even know what it says about Leftwich, good or bad.

I kinda thought the same thing, except I said 'once the scripted plays are done, and it's entirely on Byron to call them, the team falls apart."

There is a discernible drop in offense once the first 15 scripted plays are done. Do they only practice the scripted plays during the week?

If you can't find a few things that work in any playbook then you aren't meant to be a playcaller. To K9's point, if we got beat 45-24 with a few well run concepts this thread wouldn't be written.

Well, they are trying to run easy plays they can execute (like screens) but if you go to that well too often ...
