Shane, were you struck by how short DD is? I saw him before training camp last summer at the Ahwatukee Best Buy. I went home and looked at his posted height at AZCardinals.com, and it said that he was something like 6'4". No way. The guy might be 6'1".

At least, that's what I was surprised by when I saw him.

Yeah, Dockett must be in Vegas all the time. He was on my flight home form there about a month ago. Didn't talk to him though.

Standing in baggage claim here at work and lo and behold coming right at me is Darnell Dockett. Of course I stop him and say hello. He gets a huge smile on his face and says that its great to meet fans and that he is Vegas all the time. He asks me the best way to get to a limo to avoid the crowds I point him the way, but he asks if I can show him. I walk him to the limo making small talk along the way. He tells me that he is ecstatic with the hiring of Whisenhunt and that he is just what the doctor ordered. Stated exactly "He is just what we needed! We need some discipline and a kick in the butt" He then looked at me with the most serious face you could imagine and told me "we are going to win this year no doubt!"

I finish walking him to the limo where he meets with some other NFL player(Im pretty certain) built much like Dockett who already has the limo waiting. He turns to me and shakes my hand and actually gives me one of those your my bro half arm manhugs and says be safe. He was genuinely talkative and completely polite. Anyway just thought I would share! Kudos to Darnell. Now Im all pumped to send in my renewal cash again!



FYI: have seen a ton of sports stars the last two days. This airport is an absolute zoo with the NBA allstar weekend up here in Vegas this year! But the only one I cared to chat with was Darnell!

You should have asked him why he hasnt called me yet.. no, seriously.. Imma kick that dudes ass ..

Actually I did tell him that I had just recieved my renewal notice. He said that was cool and thats when he told me that he is in Vegas all the time. He was awesome!
