The Philadelphia 76ers have 13 games left in the 2024-25 season after falling 133-100 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. They are now 1-2 on this 3-game road trip and will head back to Texas to face the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.

One has to wonder if the Sixers will see Tyrese Maxey during this trip. Coach Nick Nurse mentioned before the trip that the hope was to get Maxey back while on the road. The All-Star guard has missed the last nine games due to a lower back sprain and a finger sprain he has been dealing with. He last played on March 3 against the Portland Trail Blazers when he suffered the back injury.

After the loss to the Thunder, Nurse gave an update on Maxey as well as Lonnie Walker IV who has not played since March 12 when he suffered a concussion against the Toronto Raptors.

"He did work out today (Wednesday)," Nurse told reporters in Oklahoma City. "We're still looking to try to get him back on the trip. I don't know what the possibilities are, percentage-wise wise on that, but he did work out. I think Lonnie will get through the protocol by next game as well, so we'll see if we can get some guys back."

If the Sixers can get Maxey back, it would be an opportunity to see how he and Quentin Grimes can mesh in the backcourt. With 13 games left, that is where the Sixers should focus. They should be looking at evaluating new pieces and seeing how they all fit together.
