BTW, who woke up Jimmy Jackson?

I think Jackson woke himself up. Just like DC and Nick (well being a team player and under control). All of these players know they blew chances and had problems. All had something to prove.

Whatever, Chap.

I actually loved it when McDyess opted to go back to Denver. It was a player wanting to play where he had been comfortable versus a new city that he didn't really fall in love with. And it was a player taking less money to play where he felt he wanted to be. Guys are always getting ripped for chasing the money, and now, just because it's your team he left - you're ripping a guy for taking less money to play where he felt more at home.

As for Nick's role in the McDyess situation - in the end it was Dice that chose to go back to Denver. It's all about personal responsibility. Don't blame Nick for McDyess' decision.

Admit it - you just don't like him cause he was a Laker. :D

Well, we won't say much more--since you are a Laker fan, it is easy to understand why you have no clue whatsoever what the whole situation was about in the first place.

No, no, no. This was probably the most blatant case of tampering in the NBA in the last 20 years. Nick Van Exel and his agent orchestrated the entire thing in order to get Nick the bigger contract. They took a young, stupid man and manipulated him illegally. Unfortunately then the Suns went and compounded the problem by overpaying Tom Gugliotta, who did not fit in on this team, to take his place.

I'm not sure that in the long run Antonio McDyess leaving was a bad thing. He has had as many injury problems as Tom Gugliotta. And his problems were because of bad knees not because one of his own teammates wiped his leg out. Obviously the Suns management has given up on Googs, but wherewith they'd be with Antonio McDyess? Would we all be holding out hope that he could return?

Don't forget that the king of tampering (was suspended this past season for bring Lebron in for a private workout with the Cavs), John Lucas orchestrated that whole thing. It was even public knowledge that the Nuggets were going to hire him as an assistant. Yet because he hadn't been officially hired there was no punishment. because of the lockout Van Exel and his agent and coach Lucas worked Dice over for 2 whole months during the lockout, knowing that teams were not allowed to have contact with players. Yet, Van Exel and Lucas were already promised jobs. The GM of the Nuggets clearly should have been suspended for making those under the table deals.

The worst part was that the NBA never investigated this incident.

On the other hand it didn't help that Ainge didn't treat Dice better while he was here.

But the worst part of all? Dice was just a very weak person.

Yeah, especially since I get my fill of Suns news every morning when I open the local paper (East Valley Tribune), and when I get the other local paper (Arizona Republic) for free from my workplace, then watch the local news, which undoubtedly covers...the Suns.

Everyone in my family, except for me, is a Suns fan.

I know plenty about the situation. I was here when it went down.

Sheesh...

You are absolute proof that Laker fans can neither recognize nor appreciate extreme sarcasm... :D

Usually, my sarcasm radar is right on.

The Lakers early postseason exit must have damaged it. :D
