Different regime, different draft.

This draft will produce a bevy of starters into the 4,5 and even 6th Rds.

Last year 65 rookies started for their teams. That record should be broken this next season. Deep, deep draft.

Sill doesn't improve the odds of hitting on those 2 players, which was my point. I like the talent in this draft as well, but only time will tell if we were right. But then again, I depends on who's on the board at 20.

MINE?

The 49'ers "move up and take that Barr kid out of UCLA and he goes on to be ALL-PRO for several years. UGH!

While there's always a bit of anxiety in every draft, I now believe, more than ever, that our front office KNOWS what it's doing.

There are ALWAYS contingency plans in-place in case of...WHAT IF??

ENJOY! CARDINAL FRIENDS!

3 hours till Christmas morning!

Mark in SC :)

Where it's 95 AFTER being in the 30's just a month ago! CRAZY WEATHER! LOL

Worst scenario would be for the Rams to trade out of their #2 pick and collect another bounty of high picks. Sooner or later, all the talent they have accumulated is going to come together and we'll have another solid team in our Division to have to compete with to even make it into the playoffs. If they get Bradford a quality WR and make some tweaks to their OL---they can become dominant in our Division.

Trading down & having 2003 happen all over again...Skillet hands Johnson & Pace. Pace was a decent player, but trading down generally leads to less talent if your scouts & GM know what they're doing.

Be careful what you wish for trading down fellas :bang:;)

different place this time

#6 to #17 (IIRC) was a giant move out of a value tier

i am not sure #20 to say #33 or so is equivalent

ha...seriously.

if we take a QB, I'm gonna be stoked to be honest with you. I fully trust Arians/Keim know what their doing QB wise, especially seeing what they got out of Palmer last year (who I thought would be awful) and if they think there's a bona-fide QB of the future on the board I'm all for it.

I want franchise sustainability. I'm talking a ten year run. Reality to me is that the losses of Dansby and Mathieu, not to mention a likely Washington suspension are gonna have this team maybe take a slight step back defensively this year, but the offense should be better. So, if we decide to continue building long-term while hoping they can mask the losses in the D, while at the same time building for a life after Palmer. I'm okay with that if that's the way they want to go.

For me, nothing is going to stop me from disagreeing about Derek Carr being an awful QB prospect, but I'll state that I didn't like the pick and hold my fire on Arians and Keim until he actually fails. They've earned that amount of trust from me.

But, man, I really don't want them to pick Carr. You can fix a lot of things about a QB prospect, but a guy who's gun shy under pressure in college is going to be gun shy under pressure as a pro.

Which is whyi trust that Arians and Keim see the same thing.

My nightmare scenario is trading back. It's almost always trading back. I can deal with 3-4 spots, but I can't handle trading entirely out of the first round from #20 or something like that, especially when we're a team that's only a player or two away.

Watching the 'Red Carpet' interviews on the NFL Network is pretty horrifying, and is a nightmare scenario that should never be repeated. I'm not sure who sounds dumber: the athletes' mumbling stutters, their mothers' saying everything is a "blessing" and "thank you Lord Jesus", or Melissa Starks asking everybody about their clothes.

Looks like my worst nightmare happened. :p

We got a solid player, but IMO not the 27th best player in this draft. Let's see what happens at #91. As I said, be careful what you wish for. Lol

Eric Ebron TE or Johnny Manziel QB or Rashede Hageman DT-DE any of those 3 at 20 would piss me off.

Manziel is one of the great unknowns. He is a gamble but so was Fran Tarkenton. Most starting QB's in NFL last year came from the 2nd round. He is either going to be a bust or another star QB.

Fran Tarkenton wasn`t running from the athletes in the nfl today.
