I'm note sure why I am happy about this...but I am. I guess I've always been a Nike guy.

Good choice Lebron. Now try and live up to the hype. :D

Lebron = hype! This guy is the biggest media creation I have ever seen! Nice to see him get cash because he is too ignorant to go to college. I have nothing against this kid except that the media has blown his game WAY out of proportion. The steal of this draft is whoever gets Carmello Anthony. That being said, I wish this guy well because he isn't going to find too many 5'10" high school kids to dunk on in the NBA!

Wow. How do you know that?

According to your previous sentence, you DO have something against him. Right?

So? Amare Stoudemire only dunked on 5'10" high school kids 2 years ago. What's your point?

If you were Lebron James you would have to be stupid beyond belief to go to college. Anthony was getting told he might not be a lottery pick last year, and he still debated going to college. James is the surefire No. 1 draft pick this summer.

Last season Amare Stoudemire adapted to the NBA better than any previous straight from high school player. Most of the reason he was so good his first season was his ready for the NBA body. Lebron James already has a perfect NBA body. He's tall, extremely athletic, and very strong. He's also more skilled than probably any previous straight to the NBA player.

I actually don't really care for Lebron James. I kind of hope he fails because his giant ego bothers me. I also think it's absolutely absurd for him to get a $90 million shoe contract. Frankly I have trouble believing any player other than Michael Jordan could possibly make one of the shoe companies that much money back. One of the reasons I really like Anthony is that he seems like a great person.

I'm just calling at like I see it.

Anybody want to bet the LA Clippers get the No. 1 pick?

I'm hoping they do. The Clips aren't going anywhere. What better place for Lebron's massive ego to implode?

While LeBron has all the tools to become a top-5 player in the NBA... HIS GAME IS GOING TO BE ERRATIC AS HELL the first few years.

He better hope he goes to a small-market, because he'll get toasted and roasted by the media if he has too many "off" nights in a big-city.

I've caught quite a few snippets of his game. He does dominate against all high schoolers (including the McDonalds All-Stars). But, I also see wild, carefree moves to hoop in traffic. That may get him by in 4A. But, he'll be picking his arse off the ground in the NBA.

The question is: How fast will he adapt?
