Nike's been in control of the uniform design for Boise State for a few years now, but they've just released the new ones, with some new "Material" and a unique design. (So they say)

I have a feeling they'll be going the way of Oregon uniforms before too long. These new designs are pretty tame compared to some of Oregon's, we'll see where they go from here.

What do you think?

The white ones should be the home uniform. Blue on the road. I like them.

What no orange? I was expecting at least 3 colors with 3 different helmets and fake diamond plate on the shoulders.

Those blue unis on the blue turf will be a retina cracker for sure. I don't think my eyes will be able to handle it.

Yeah blue at home is always interesting, and other teams really like to use it as an exscuse. I thought it was wierd that the home blue doesn't have Boise state on the front but the road white does. This is nikes first major design, so as awareness of the team increases, I can only imagine what newer ones will look like.

They will definatley clash with whatever Oregon wears in the home opener.

They are UGLY.

And the WAC/NCAA should ban Boise from wearing them at home.

Should they also ban teams with green uniforms too?

Grass, unless artificial turf, is not uniform in color.

And I can't think of a single team that has uniforms that EXACTLY match the field.

sounds like a bunch of whining to me

if you can't identify the muscular 6' guy out there running around then you have no place playing athletics

also if it was that much of a concern i'm sure the home fans would be upset as they wouldn't be able to locate the players or follow the game

For me it's not an issue of identifying players. Green doesn't hurt my eyes like the blue does. Maybe it's not so bad in person, but I can't make it through a whole Boise State home game on TV which kinda sucks because I like BSU. IMHO, the blue turf was a neat gimmick that made them stand out for a while but has jumped the shark into annyance now that they are a power program.

It's better in person. Come out and catch a game sometime!

I agree on tv, it's difficult to watch sometimes, but I think a lot of it is lighting. ESPN used brings in extra lights since ours in combination with the blue, don't seem to do well on TV. They don't always bring the lights though, which is weird. It might be the new pressbox that makes the lighting better. Who knows. Maybe HD is actually worse in this case?

I think the new jerseys are ugly. What's with the stripes on the back?

Yeah, the home jerseys don't have Boise state on the front, but the road ones do. Nikes next few versions will probably get stranger unfortunatley.
