"The Denver Post reports that forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili is being shopped. Teams interested include Phoenix and Toronto."

Just thought I'd pass this along from CBS Sportsline.

Has been reported by the stupid DenverPost several times. Those guys start to make up rumors like Peter Vecsey and Smith.

They also said that Washington wants to sign McDyess because one guy who was in Denver when Dice signed there is now in Washington.

Skita = BIG NO

Oh no, not again. :trout:

Tskitishvili is scheduled to make $2.9 million next year.

About the only way it makes sense for the Suns would be if Denvery packaged him with Rodney White in exchange for Jahidi. Rodney's contract of $1.9 million expires this year and he is better than Casey right now.

I'm not convinced that Denver would buy that deal, but I can see no other way the Suns would accept Tskitishvili.

Yeah, that scared me too.

It's hard to imagine the Suns trading for Skita, since he seems to be strictly a PF at this point, and that's the position the Suns least need to fill right now.

Yuma, you bastard! :)

That title makes it look like a trade had gone down. Tskitishvili sure looks like a bust at this point. Perhaps we should pay attention to Chad Ford's European Scouting. He didn't like Cabarkapa. He loved Tskitishvili and Darko. Makes you wonder?

Tskitishvili is NOT going to be a bust. He will be a very good player, but since we already have Zarko, Tskitishvili would be useless. It's kind of like having Doug Christie and Bruce Bowen on the same team.

i completely agree, i think tskitishvilli is going to be a good pro, but i don't think we need him. all the rumors of us getting him are based solely on the fact that d'antoni used to coach him and nothing more.

Has anyone actually heard D'Antoni say something really positive about Tsikitsvilli?

I think when we drafted Zarko they used Tsikitsvilli as an example what Zarko would not be like.

I guess the thing that disturbs me about Tskitishvili is that his strength was supposed to be his shooting. I know better than to base everything on statistics, but sometimes I can't help it. Tskitishvili is shooting just 34% this season, and he shot just 29% last season.

Before Tskitishvili was drafted ESPN Insider interviewed Mike D'Antoni about him and some of the other Tskitishvili. D'Antoni said repeatedly that it would be several years before Tskitishvili contributes in the NBA. Still, I think you would at least want to see some signs of life before then.

That's what happens when you draft a teenager from Europe. I was talking about Perovic earlier in another thread, and this fits right in- IT WILL BE SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE THEY "DEVELOP."

Depending on what they would give up, it couldn't hurt to have him. If we develop him into a good player then we have a good problem on our hands, and that is too many good players. There is still no gurantee that Zarko will turn out to be the player we think he will be.

Sorry! :D I should have used ? marks instead of ! points. There Suns say they may not be done with trades yet this season. I haven't heard anything else aside from this trade rumor.

During the Chicago game, The bulls announcers were saying that there were rumors that the suns in a few days were also going to trade googs to Utah!
who knows if Eisley was going to get packaged with him? I seem to remember at the beginning of the season that the Jazz were under the minimum salery figure for a team, Not sure if they were able to sign anyone or made a trade yet to get them there?

Before Feb 12, Utah will get a lot of great offers from teams trying to avoid paying luxury tax. I can't see them taking Eisley wihtout getting a lot along with him. I mean A LOT!

Even if Googs and Eisley could be packaged together (the trade rules don't allow it until Eisley has been in Phoenix a while), the Jazz don't have enough expiring contracts and cap room to match their combined salaries.

That's because Utah cut Glen Rice.

Googs (and picks, presumably) for Keon Clark won't work on RealGM, either, and the Jazz won't trade Ostertag as long as they think they might keep their playoff streak alive.

I don't think that Utah has much cap room left, honestly. They could take Eisley for Keon Clark, but as G O'Brien said, the Suns would have to pay through the nose.

Actually, there is a specific time slot, a window, a player can be traded after he joins his new team...I think however it is like 7 days or something ridiculous like that

Back to the subject of this post.......Tskitishvili showed me absolutely nothing last night (in the 6 minutes of garbage time he played). I don't know why we would want him. Our coaching staff might be able to develop him, but don't we have enough projects already.....

I was thinking the same thing. He looked really bad.
