I would seriously laugh if we got Hunter back. Nearly full circle there.

Why would we get Hunter again? The guy can block shots, but we don't need a shot blocker, we need a rebounder, and Hunter is average at best, especially with the minutes D'Antoni would play him.

That's why it is funny :)

C.Anthony & Marion may occupy the same position on the depth chart, but their games are not alike whatsoever.
In fact,IMO they would compliment each others games quite well. Better than having MELO & STAT on the floor(they'd each be crying for the ball). Marion has a reputation around the league as a good defensive player along w/being a good rebounder. He doesn't need the ball to get his. Between AI,MELO, & STAT...i just dont see how there'd be enough basketball to spread around.

I for one don't believe that the SUNS would've considered moving STAT for CAMBY. The talks all summer were on Marion. Thats a fact jack.
IMO this trade that never happened focused on Marion, draft picks,& possably Diaw.
And if that was the case, i think KERR made a big mistake by giving DA the benefit of the doubt in terms of standing pat on this current roster.
We shall see.

marion would NOT work out in denver. what would they start? Carter/AI/Marion/Melo/Martin? martin is far from a center as is a large downgrade in that reguard from camby. he is also injury prone so if he goes down you get nene starting at center. that isn't really a bad thing, actually. i think if they were going to take marion for camby they'd have to move martin to make a lineup work out there.

Exactly. Nene could start at center.. He's not Camby, but Kleiza's no Marion.
It just doesn't make sense to me to put STAT,MELO, & AI on the floor and ask them to share the wealth IMO.

"Based on nothing but my gut feeling, which flies in the face of logic and reason, but I chose to believe it, this what happened"

You continually knock the Suns front office and D'Antoni but are basing it off of nothing but your goofy feelings of what may have happened. Until a substantiated report comes out that says the deal was Marion+other junk for Camby, stop trying to rewrite history and dilute yourself into thinking that was the case, it almost certainly was not.

Oh well......
NASH
BELL
HILL
STAT
CAMBY
.....would have been a thing of beauty & difficult for others to contend with.

Great and we have ZERO evidence thats what was on the table, so stop going on about it like thats a fact.

I understand your argument. I'm just sayin that if Amare wants more touches playing with Nash, how's that gonna work playing with AI & CARMELO? You know?
I suppose it could have been a 3-way deal involving bringing in another big for Denver. Or SKINNER. Who knows. I'll get over it.
:)
