Super elite: top-10 (MVP caliber)
Elite: top 2-3 at their position (dominant)
Star: top 5-7 at their position (star)
Great: top 7-11 at their position (quality starter)

How many guys would you put in tier 1?

So 2/3s of the league lacks quality starters at any position? Most teams can't run out one much less two quality cornerbacks or guards?

I wouldn't match up a WR to a QB and try to figure who is more elite. You don't do it that way. Its per position. So Fitz to me is an elite WR, CC is an elite DL, Justin Bethel is an elite player on ST. I go by position and not overall. That's how I see it.

Fitz WAS an elite WR. If you think that Fitz is among even the top 10 WRs in the NFL right now, you may not be watching enough football around the league.

I don't. Just saying in his career, he has been elite. If he had a decent QB every year and wasn't injured all last year, I think he would have been an elite WR every season.

Campbell is good but currently in the NFL there are some ridiculous good big men on defense.

To each their own I guess. CCs stats are very similar the last 5 yrs in most stats.

Who cares? We have tons of stars and great players with more depth than any team ever in Arizona history with one of the best coaches in the league.

With less, the team won 11 games last season.

I don't care of we don't have an "elite" player on the roster per your metric; however, we have a great team that can legitimately boast itself as a championship contender.

The OP. He started a thread regarding individual players so that's what we're talking about.

Your last part is correct for sure. Having a great team is more important than anything and some of the SB teams in the last several years have proven that.

So CC is elite than per your new standard. He is absolutely one of the 3 best 3-4 defensive ends in the NFL.
