Here we go again...

since I'm sick of hearing about our Cardinals who want new contracts or other professional athletes who want another million, I will say this. I know enought about life to safely say that this is all about greed and it does not reflect well on the players. "I want you to root for me and I also want you to pay me millions to root for me" LOL. Now I simply do not want to hear all the crap of "they live in another world, you don't understand" , "wouldn't you want the most money you could get" crud and so on and so on. No I would not want millions upon millions because anyone with enough common sense can make millions off a few millions to last them and their family for a life time. Anyone too stupid to invest a couple of millions and make more millions should not be burdened with a million bucks in the first place...their feeble brain does not deserve it. I will root for the Cardinals this year like never before, if Q, Docket want me to give a damn about them...suit up and hit the field...if not...bye :)

And I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the crap Fitzgerald did with his contract:(

its an OTA, no biggie, I doubt boldin sits the whole thing.

Fact is, if they are working out, neither one of them needs much practice anyway.

No real surprise right, I wasn't expecting either to actually show up, especially with having Rosenhaus as their agents.

I agree with everything but the Fitz part...He didn't do anything with his contract...That's all on the organization for not attending to it earlier.

I would normally agree because they don't really need the work. The problem I have is that both players are smart; they KNOW that them skipping the OTA will flame the fires and make things worse amongst the press and the fan base. Now that may be fine for the agent, but it's still bush league to me. Negotiate in good faith and stop playing petty children's games.

Undoubtably, it works.

If I was in the same position, I would make statements too. Fans like to bitch and gripe about rich players wanting more money but if this prick next to me gets promoted before I do ill be pissed off too. I understand the whole thing and dont really care, they know how to play and will be here in september for sure.

Agreed. Noticed how Dansby showed up. He is looking for a long term deal as well. Wilson showed up and wants to show he is healthy.

But I want to see just how many of these they miss. I am fine with Edge missing his usual half of the OTA's (one weekend of which falls on his kids birthday so that I can understand). So we shall see if Boldin and Dockett show up to at least half of these things as well. If they do I am just fine with their miss half of the OTA's statement they are trying to make. Wait and see.

Voluntary not mini camp. A lot of players around the league skipped them too. But hey its slow so lets barbecue players for missing them "voluntary" work.

But they arent skipping work.

Right, the key word is "voluntary".

Think about our jobs. If your employer said, "We're going to have VOLUNTARY work days, and you WON'T get paid more." how many people would show?

It's ridiculous to try top compare our jobs with theirs. It's not the same thing; not even remotely.

\No I would not want millions upon millions because anyone with enough common sense can make millions off a few millions to last them and their family for a life time.

What an absolute load of crap. The more money you have to invest, the more money you can make. 10% of 1,000,000 is more than 10% of 100,000. Yes, smart investing can provide a comfortable life. But if I'm in a job where I know my next play could be my last and the money tree dries up, I'm getting what I can while I can.

These guys get the living crap kicked out of them for their job and then they have to deal with pain and disability for the rest of their lives.

And besides, some of these guys do good deeds with their money and don't just keep it to themselves and their family. The more money they get, the more available to donate to their charities.

All this over 2 people not showing to something that is voluntary. If you can question Q's commitment and passion for the game because of this, I don't know who you can root for in the future because nobody on our team plays as hard or cares as much as he does.
