Took my grandson to the game last Saturday and wanted to bring my tamborine in. After 3 years of bringing it I was not allowed in. Had to take it back to the car. The security guy said that it was a noisemaker and they aren't allowed.

I countered that it was a large rattle just like the purple and red ones they sell. He called someone to ask but was told no. JUST ANOTHER REASON WHY THE BALL PARK IS SO QUITE. Watch the Mets game and their fans are always cheering, not just when the scoreboard says so.

I went to customer relations but they were no help. they did give me a name to write to but I haven't gotten an answer yet.

Just a little ran.

Thats insane, Im sorry. I went to a small D3 college, and my friends and I used to try to bring drums and non mechanical bull horns (like what cheerleaders have), and they'd never let us, but at a MLB game? Thats stupid.

They didn't allow me to bring a tambourine a few years ago -- nothing new there. They almost refused to allow a pair of purple maracas I got on ebay, but when I pointed out people near me put coins in empty plastic water bottles and made a lot more noise, they called someone and finally said 'OK.'

Bringing it is stupid or not allowing it?

Not allowing it, sorry to be unclear.

Its typical sleepy Arizona fans though, just like in last years WCFs when I was lucky enough to get lower bowl tickets, this was one of the biggest sporting events I ever got to go to in person and I was constantly being told to sit down and be quite. How lame. But of course everyone in my section stands up when its tshirt time. WTF? How about we sit down, shut up and rest during commercials, and then go ape during the game and not the other way around? I just dont get people sometimes.

That's one of the reasons why I love living in NY and going to games here.

You can cheer - in fact, if you dont then people wonder whats wrong with you

Lame stuff in AZ
