Should the RB be telling the QB how to do his job? If I was the QB and another position player was in my face I would probably do the same thing.

BTW, LT should be more worried about his own performance. He hasn't done squat so far this year.

If anything Rivers should have been more forceful.

SD couldn't have stopped Phillips or Cameron from leaving to take a head coaching position.
no, but they could have fired marty first then promoted one of the two. if marty was that bad you know. I'm pretty sure cameron would of rather been the head coach of the chargers. same for wade phillups. when you wait that late to make coaching changes in the offseason you are stuck with guys like turner.

Supposedly (from a yahoo column I read) AJ Smith convinced the owner to fire Marty after Wade left, and Marty tried to get his (Marty's) brother hired as the Def Coor.

Bad move for SD. Rivers really sux this year, too. Not the super QB everyone was saying he was. I agree with the above posts of how Marty had average QB's and won.
I wonder how long Wade Phillips can ride the Cowpuke express before he starts losing, too. Everything is all cake and ice cream with all the players saying how relaxed it is without Parcells but when they lose and TO starts being a cry baby, Wade is gonna have to actually be a coach and not such a 'good guy'. I can't wait for that!

Well it depends what he was telling him. And I don't know. If he was saying i was wide open, big deal everyone thinks they're wide open on every play, QB's get used to that.

But in this case it sure seemed like there was some fundamental disagreement with Rivers and LT that went a bit deeper than one play.

That stuff happens all the time, the problem Rivers has is he's not playing well and people are going to point the finger at him. LT isn't doing much yet either but most people will say that's because Rivers has struggled and it's allowing teams to load up to stop the run.

If they continue to have problems I go back to that old White Shadow episode where Coolidge wants to kill Thorpe and coach pulls Thorpe aside and says you better straighten that out, because if I have to make a choice, he's a LOT bigger than you are.

LT doing his commercials means he has not had enough time to learn Turner's playbook, and that's why the team is struggling.

well as long as they keep you waiting I'll be happy. what do you think is going to happen after they play that well for 3 games. they are playing better than anyone could of expected them to.
parcells is a great coach. and I give him credit for putting this team together and bringing in low profile free agents like colombo and romo. but it was time for a change in dallas and phillups was the best guy for the job. I'd say he's done some fine coaching thus far. give him some credit.

you don't listen, but you respond. If he didn't deserve credit, you wouldn't brought up the fact that the cowpukes are 3-0.

Did someone say that they saw pictures of LT and a topless dairy cow in Wisconsin last Saturday night before the Green Bay game?

Or did I just dream that?

I didn't bring up the 3-0, you did. Also as a typical Cowboy fan you only read what you want in a post and ignore the rest. When things get tough TO will cry Wade will have to be a coach and not such a buddy, that was the point.

Hmmm, Rivers is completing over 70% of his passes, with no running game, in his second year as a starter, and his first year in a new offense. Here are the NFL QB rankings. So he sucks? You decide:

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=0&statisticCategory=PASSING

Point taken. Rivers completed 15 passes in a row in his last game to tie Dan Fouts' team record. There were a few passes that had outstanding coverage, but Rivers fit the ball in a tiny window where only the receiver could catch it. He played a great game his last game until he slightly misfired on his last two drives at the end of the game.

Their big time players in Merriman and LT were mostly invisible in the last game. I'm not sold on Rivers yet, but he wasn't the main problem in the last game as he carried the team most of the game.

As for Shotty, it's easy to fire someone you're not happy with. But you better have a better replacement available if you do. The Chargers didn't.

Maybe Merriman justs needs to have his steroids prescription refilled?

Bump

Bolts lost to KC. Kansas Bloomin' City.

Turner absolutely ruined this team. Fire him and AJ Smith and bring back Marty
