Was not a td the ball never crossed. I know the replay wasn't great but you could see from the left where the ball was and it didnt' cross. The only ref who called it a TD initially was on the right side, he couldn't see the ball because it was on the left side.

Perfect example of the bad rule, they go with a call guessed at by a screened out ref on the field because the replay isn't 100% conclusive although you can clearly see when the ref is signalling TD, the ball has not actually crossed.

They would have scored anyways but that was a bad call

The officials really pissed me off at the end of the game.

They could've called those holding and PI on the Cowboys ALL NIGHT, and they didn't start making them till the game was decided and they needed to even things up on the score sheet in terms of penalties.

It happens so often in the NFL it's stupid.

Not blaming the game on it, but it's still annoying.

overall the refs didn't bother me tonight but there was that blatant hold against Gresham early that hurt us and there were a couple of others that Palmer was calling for and didn't get. The hold by PP on Dez was a hold, but not nearly as obvious as the one on Gresham.

Honestly this game flipped on that hold by Veldheer that took away the TD, it was the right call but that was a huge play.

I agree with others he's playing like he wants to retire.

Regardless, that play was a pathetic display of heartless football. Why do Cards always provide players with signature moments in prime time?

It was disgusting and embarrassing.

The replays on that play sucked at the game, but it was pretty obvious by the replays we got that there wasn't a good view to over rule.

There wasn't anything wrong. The D had 5 players trying to keep him out. Sure you're not thinking of the Dak flip TD? That one was an embarrassment.

I thought there was a lot of holding in the cowboys secondary and a lot of holding on the cards o line not called all game long. For me I don't mind it as long as it is consistent. I thought the refs did well with some of the big calls they got right in real time without replay. There were two dumb challenges one by each coach. The dez td would of stood as a non td if they called him down at the goaline just short.

I will say this, Tryon Smith held the crap out of Chandler Jones on that Dez play and tackled him from behind. Chandler still missed the sack by a quarter second...

Right I'm not saying they should have overruled it but that's because of the way the rule is written. If you made the call based on the replay IMO the call would have been no TD. But the rule is the call is made on the field, and then you need conclusive replay to overturn it. The ref that called it a TD could not see the ball, that's clear from the replays, the only angle where the ball is visible is on the whole other side of the field from where he was.

Again I don't think it mattered they'd have scored anyways. But imagine that call at say the end of a tight game where the TD wins the game and the no TD loses it. Having that outcome determined by a guess live over a replay is just wrong IMO but that's how the rule is written

Wasn't there also a Rucker retaliation flag that overrode a Dallas penalty and sustained one of their drives?

Pretty sure they were in zone on that play (terrible decision), which is how Josh Bynes ended up trying to cover Dez over the middle.
PP was in position to make the tackle and had his ankles broken.

We might have been better off if the refs had ruled that HB did not make contact and have the runner down. If he scored then, we would have had more time to make a come back. Instead Dallas took time off the clock and scored.

Was it clear that PP could not have made a fair catch on the punt that went past him and was downed inside the five? That was very significant for the Cowboys.
