'Sounds like a plan.

By now, the league's GM's know what the story is. If they need Carter, for either an expiring contract or for playing purposes, they need him. If not, they won't come-a-calling. The same with Lopez.

There is really no need to showcase them any more.

1) Start Dudley at starting Shooting Guard and make Carter the 11th man.

2) Give Siler the opportunity at backup Center for the rest of the season to see what he can do and make Lopez the 12th man.

If not now, certainly after we're eliminated from the playoffs.

Why not?

I completely agree that Carter should not play at all.

I also fully support giving Siler a chance, but let's not set our expectations too high. Siler makes Jake Tsakalidis look as mobile, quick, and athletic as Dirk Nowitzki. To be fair, I haven't seen him play much since he dropped 50lb or so, but I doubt he is quick enough to defend anyone, or even rebound much. I hope I am wrong, as I really like Siler's effort, but I am pretty sure I am not wrong on that one.

Having said that, Lopez is useless right now, so why not give Siler a chance to play?

I don't want Phoenix to give up on Lopez though. He is very very young, and I think his back is still giving him some issues. Let's give him more time. I don't think he should be starting, but we shouldn't give up on him just yet.

I think Suns is trying to showcase Carter so hopefully they can get rid of him soon.

Carter hasn't played like a starter for a long time. He is so inconsistent.

This team definitely has some major "mental problems". If you don't start Robin, his little fragile confidence is going to reach ZERO POINT ZERO and if you don't start Vince, he probably won't even care about going to practice. I am sure he'll fake some kind of injuries or something just to avoid the embarrassment of being a "bench player".
What do you mean his contract is over after this season, no team will have to trade for him if they want him, they can just sign him.

And if Carter faked an injury and ended up on the IR, that would be a GOOD thing for the Suns. The Suns are more efficient with him off the court than with him in. It would also kill our log jam.

And Lopez's confidence is already at ZERO POINT ZERO if you haven't noticed

No, his contract is not up. His contract runs through next season as well. There is an option for the team to buy him out for $4M though.

Ah, very good! I saw Ashley Alexander give a concert with the instrument once but had remembered it as a "double trombone," which I guess is subtly different.

In any case, I was just making a juvenile "bone" joke.

I got it and thought it was pretty funny.
